Admin (Company Level)

Create Multiple Versions of Configurable Fieldsets (8/12/2019)

Users with 'Admin' permission on the company's Admin tool can now create multiple fieldsets to use for different projects. See Create New Configurable Fieldsets.

New! Enable Security Settings (5/17/2019) 

Users with 'Admin' level permission on the company's Admin tool can now request to enable security settings for logins, passwords, and session timeout intervals. See Enable Security Settings for Logins, Passwords, and Session Timeout Intervals.

New! Enable Single-Sign On Setting (5/16/2019) 

Procore has updated the Single Sign On Configuration page to add a new Enable Single Sign On checkbox. This provide your company's Procore Administrator with the ability to configure SSO for your environment. To learn how to configure SSO, see Azure Active Directory SSOOkta SSO, or OneLogin SSO.

Updated Service Account Creation (5/9/2019)

Procore has implemented a new security enhancements for service accounts. Now, when users with 'Admin' level permission on the Company Admin tool create a service account, the client secret (i.e., the unique identifier that acts like a password) will only be accessible at the time of creation. Clients will now need to save it in a secure location and the secret will not be visible after this point. If for any reason you loses the client secret, you will have to create a new service account. See Add, Modify, or Delete a Service Account

New Fieldsets and Field Options for Incidents (4/4/2019) 

Procore now provides users with 'Admin' level permission on the Company level Admin tool with the ability to configure fieldsets and field options for the Incidents tool. To learn more, see About Configured Incidents Fieldsets and Field Options.

Admins Can Now Archive Standard Cost Codes on ERP-Integrated Projects (1/8/2019) 

Updated the Company level Admin tool to give Procore Administrators with the ability to archive Standard Cost Codes in Procore in order to prevent project users from adding those codes to a project. The archive action does not remove Standard Cost Codes from all lists.This update only affects users that have setup the ERP Integrations tool for Procore.

Directory (Company Level)

New Company Name Drop-Down List (6/27/2019)

As part of the preparation steps for configurable fields release in the future, Procore has modified the Create User and Edit User pages in the Company and Project Directory tools. Users will now see an 'x' in the Company Name drop-down list that can be used instead of the Clear Company link, a new 'Copy to Personal Information' link lets you quickly input company information to the user's personal record. In addition, the Company Name field is now searchable on the Users tab and you can now create a new company record by clicking Create New at the bottom of the Company Name drop-down list. Doing Business As (DBA) Field Now Searchable in Users Tab (6/17/2019)  

Procore has updated the Company and Project Directory to make the DBA field searchable in the Users tab. See Search and Filter the Company Directory and Search and Filter the Project Directory.

New Granular Permission For 'Standard' Users To Edit And Delete Their Own Entries In The Daily Log (5/29/2018)  

Added a new 'Standard Users Can Edit and Delete Own Entries' granular permission to the Company Directory tool for the Daily Log. This permission allows 'Standard' users to edit and delete their own entries in the Daily Log, as long as the day has not been marked as complete. New 'View Company Insurance Information' Granular Permission (4/22/2019)

Procore has updated the Company level Directory tool to add a new 'View Company Insurance Information' granular permission. Now, users with 'Admin' level permission on the Company Directory can manage end user's ability to view company insurance information on vendor/company records. Enabling this permission provides end users with 'Read-Only' or 'Standard' level permission on the Company Directory to view information added to the Insurance tab on a company record. Doing Business As (DBA) Field Now Searchable (4/16/2019) 

Procore has updated the Company and Project Directory to make the DBA field searchable. See Search and Filter the Company Directory and Search and Filter the Project Directory.

Directory: Improved Search-As-You-Type Capabilities (2/14/2019) 

To provide Procore users with improved search-as-you-type capabilities, Procore has updated the Company and Project Directories to incorporate trigram indexing. This will provide users with powerful and more efficient search results. Now, when you enter any trigram (i.e., any three (3) characters in sequence), Procore's Directory tool's will yield all possible matches regardless of where those three (3) characters appear. Documents (Company Level)

Added 'Activity' Tab to File Viewer in the Documents Tool (6/4/2019)

A new 'Activity' tab has been added to the file viewer in the Project and Company level Documents tools. This tab shows the version and download log, associated emails, and change history for the file. See View a Document (Project Level) or View a Document (Company Level).

Manage and Set Tags for a File in the Documents Tool (4/4/2019)  

Users can now manage and set tags on files stored in the Documents tool. See Manage and Set Tags for a File.

Contextual Search with Documents Files (4/4/2019)  

Users can now search the text of files within the Documents tool. This is supported in PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, CSV, and DWG file formats. It is NOT supported on password-protected files. See Search for and Apply Filters to a Project's Documents.

Updated Process for Uploading Files and Creating Folders (02/27/2019)

The Documents tool has been redesigned with a more streamlined process for adding files and folders. The modernized upload process allows for more reliable uploads for larger files, and will allow for upcoming improvements. Additionally, having file uploads and folder creation accessible from the same drop-down menu at the top of the page offers a more consistent and intuitive user experience. Removed Sidebar on the Documents Page (01/09/2019)  

Moved the elements in the sidebar to the top of the page and removed the right sidebar altogether on the Documents page.

Reset Commitments for the ERP Integrations Tool (1/18/2019)

Updated the ERP Integrations tool so users can now reset commitments, instead of having to request a reset from Procore Customer Support.

Added 'Today' Option for Columns and Calculations in Custom Reports (9/5/2019)

New Change Management Grouping in Select Tool Menu (4/22/2019)

Added RFI Stage to Custom Reports (3/5/2019)

Admin (Project Level)

Updated Interface for the General Project Settings Page (9/6/2019)

The General Project Settings page in the Project level Admin tool has been updated to make a project's information easier to enter and review. In addition to the minor visual changes, you are now able to upload or manage the project photo and logo, search for information when selecting from lengthy drop-down menus, and you no longer need to manually format integer fields (e.g. phone numbers). New Procore Extracts Applications for Windows (06/17/2019)

Redesigned Bid Package Setup Experience (4/30/2019) 

Procore has enhanced the project's Bidding tool by redesigning it to include a new bid package creation experience, the ability to send bid invitation emails from your personal email address or Procore, and to upload and manage all bid files in one place. Added the Ability for ERP Enabled Projects to Convert Bids to Purchase Orders (3/4/2019)

Add Companies and Contacts to the Company Directory from the Bidding Tool (2/14/2019)

Change Events (Project Level)

Change Event Line Item Revenue ROM Amount (6/14/2019)

Revenue ROM is now a reportable field within the Change Event Line Item Detail reporting option.

Track Potential Revenue Throughout the Change Management Process (5/6/2019) 

Procore has enhanced the ability to track the potential revenue for change events. This includes the addition of a new Revenue ROM field for line items that can be set either to automatically match the most firm cost available, to $0.00 for in-scope changes, or to any manually entered value. These fields will default to the appropriate value based on the scope of the change event. To learn more, see Track Potential Revenue Throughout the Change Management Process.

Updated Change Order Default Amounts (4/11/2019)

Procore has changed where the Change Order line item amount is pulled from when you create a change order line item from a change event line item. Now, the change order line item’s amount will only populate with the Request for Quote (RFQ) value if the RFQ has a status of “Closed” or “Pending Final Approval.” If the RFQ is not present or has a different status, the change order line item’s value will populate with the Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM). Revenue ROM Beta Update (3/28/2019) 

The Cost Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) can now be edited inline in the Detail tab of the project's Change Events tool. Note: If Revenue ROM is set to 'Automatically Use Latest Cost', the system will automatically update Cost ROM. This update only affects participants in the Beta Program.

Sync QuickBooks® Bill Payments with Payments Issued in the Commitments Tool (5/1/2019) 

Users with the ERP Integrations tool can now automatically sync bill payments made against synced subcontractor invoices from QuickBooks® to the Payments Issued in Procore's Commitments tool. This eliminates the need for double entry and provides greater transparency about payments to your project team.To learn more, see ERP Integrations: Sync QuickBooks® Bill Payments with Payments Issued in Procore's Commitments Tool.

PDF Exports Now Show Tax Codes (1/8/2019)

Updated the PDF exports in the Prime Contract, Change Orders (all tiers), and Commitments tools to now show tax codes for prime contracts and commitments.

Coordination Issues (Project Level)

New Action Banners for the Coordination Issues Tool (10/01/2019) 

Procore has added action banners to the Coordination Issues tool to improve the call to action and simplify the UI. When viewing a coordination issue, the relevant action buttons are located inside the banner, and the color of the banner depends on the status of the coordination issue. For example, issues with an 'Opened' or 'Released' status are blue, issues 'Ready for Review' are yellow, issues that are 'Elevated' are red, and issues that are 'Closed' are gray. These colors are reflected in the plugin, the Coordination Issues tool's dashboard, and coordination issue pins in the Drawings tool.

Create Coordination Issues on a Drawing (9/12/2019) 

Procore has added the ability for users with 'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions to the Drawings and Coordination Issues tools to create coordination issues while on a drawing in the Drawings tool on Procore Web. See Create Coordination Issues on a Drawing.

@ Mention Users in a Coordination Issue Comment (09/12/2019) 

Users can now use the @ symbol in a comment to "mention" other users on the project, which sends an email notification with a link to the coordination issue. See Mention Users in a Coordination Issue Comment. All comments for a coordination issue are organized and stored in the 'Activity' panel that is visible on both the Coordination Issues tool and the Procore plugin in Navisworks®. 

Reassign a Coordination Issue to Another User (07/08/2019) 

Users with 'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions to the Coordination Issues tool who are marked as an Assignee on a coordination issue can now reassign the issue to another user. See Reassign a Coordination Issue.

New 'Activity Feed' for Coordination Issues (07/01/2019) 

A feed has been added to the 'Activity' panel in the Coordination Issues tool on Procore web and the Procore plugin in Navisworks®. The new Activity panel lists all updates to an issue, such as the details of when it was created, assigned, reassigned, and elevated, along with any comments that have been added to the issue. Comment on a Coordination Issue in the Procore Plugin (06/14/2019) 

Users can now add a comment and snapshot on a coordination issue in the 'Activity' panel. See Add or Manage Comments on a Coordination Issue.

New Markup Tool for Adding Coordination Issues to a Drawing (6/3/2019) 

For projects using the Coordination Issues tool, a new 'CI' markup tool is now available in the Drawings tool. This allows users to add pins on a drawing to link existing coordination issues. See Add Coordination Issues to a Drawing.

Comment on a Coordination Issue in the Coordination Issues Tool (05/15/2019) 

Users can now add a comment on a coordination issue from a new 'Activity' panel in the Coordination Issues tool. See Add or Manage Comments on a Coordination Issue.

Import Locations Using the Procore Plugin for Revit® (03/18/2019) 

You can now import locations from Revit® to your Procore project using the Procore plugin for Revit®. See Import Locations Using the Procore Plugin for Revit®.

Drawings can now be linked to an RFI when elevating a coordination issue to a new RFI. See Elevate a Coordination Issue to an RFI.

If you elevated a coordination issue to an RFI and need to disassociate it from the RFI that it was linked to, you can now unlink the RFI from the coordination issue. This will remove the connection between the two items and change the status of the coordination issue to "Open." See Edit a Coordination Issue and Elevate a Coordination Issue to an RFI.

Bulk Edit Coordination Issues (2/15/2019)

You can now bulk edit the Location, Assignee, and Due Date fields using the Coordination Issues tool. See Edit a Coordination Issue.

Filter Coordination Issues in the Procore Plugin (2/13/2019)

You can now filter coordination issues in the Procore plug-in by Created Date, Due Date, Assignee, Location, and Status. See Search for and Filter Coordination Issues.

Elevate a Coordination Issue to an Existing RFI (1/15/2019)  

You can now elevate a coordination issue to an existing RFI from the Coordination Issues tool and the Procore plug-in. You will see options to Create a New RFI or Choose an Existing RFI. This creates a link between the coordination issue and the new or existing RFI. See Elevate a Coordination Issue to an RFI.

Daily Log (Project Level)

Expanded Options in the Daily Log Calendar View (9/25/2019)

A new modal has been added to the Calendar view in the Daily Log tool. Entries can be created, edited, approved, or deleted from within the same window. See View and Manage Daily Logs in the Calendar View.

Create Pending Manpower and Daily Construction Report Entries for Missing Companies (9/18/2019)

Procore has added a new feature to the Daily Log tool that compares a previous day's Manpower and Daily Construction Report entries to suggest when there might be missing companies on the current day's log. Users with 'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions to the Daily Log tool can choose to create new pending entries that copy the selected company names. See Create Pending Entries for Missing Companies

Approve Pending Logs in List View (8/15/2019)

Procore has added a new option for reviewing and approving collaborator entries for the Manpower, Daily Construction Report, Notes, and Delivery logs in the Daily Log tool. Instead of being redirected to a separate 'Pending Entries' page that lists all pending entries in the project, Admin users can now review, edit, and approve entries in the same log they were added to. Complete and Distribute Daily Logs from the Calendar View (7/5/2019)

Users with 'Admin' permission can now complete and distribute daily logs from the calendar view. 

New Granular Permission for 'Standard' Users to Edit and Delete Their Own Entries in the Daily Log (5/29/2018)

Configurable Fieldsets and Expanded Workforce Labor Tracking for the Daily Log (5/15/2019)

The Daily Log tool now supports configurable fields for the Manpower, Notes, and Daily Construction Report Sections. This allows users with 'Admin' permissions to the Company Admin tool to mark fields as required, optional, or hidden for one or more projects. See Create New Configurable Fieldsets. In addition, new fields for workforce labor tracking (e.g. women, minorities, local residents) are now available to configure for the Daily Construction Report. Calendar View for the Daily Log (5/15/2019)

Procore has added a new 'Calendar' view that displays the current state of all daily logs by month. This allows users to easily see which days are complete and which days have pending or approved entries. When viewing a day, a side panel provides a summary of entries, and users can quickly complete days or review entries. See View the Daily Log Calendar.

New Delays Section in the Daily Log (4/8/2019)

A new section has been added to the Daily Log tool for tracking delays on a project. See Create Delay Entries. Custom delay types can be added in the Daily Log's configure settings. 

New Incremented Number Control for Faster Data Entry (2/8/2019)

Updated the project's Daily Log tool to add a new incremented number control that gives users doing data entry the ability to add workers and hours more quickly. 

Improved Hover States (1/4/2019)

Procore has improved the user experience of the Daily Log tool by adding hover states to the interface. These new features place system focus on the area over which your mouse cursor hovers to provide improved visual feedback when using the Daily Log.  

Improved Comment Field (1/4/2019)

Added placeholder text to the comments field. When viewing the field, the phrase 'No comments' appears when entries have not been saved. When viewing the field in edit mode, an Add Comments prompt appears.

Added a New Granular Permission for Creating Reference Users to Permission Templates (6/28/2019)

Procore has added a new granular permission in the Directory category of the permission templates feature (see Grant Granular Permissions in a Permission Template) named 'Create Reference Users (Only Applicable if Timesheets or Incidents is Enabled)' to work with the project's Incidents tool.  This works with another granular permission which Procore had previously released 'Update Reference Users (Only Applicable if Timesheets or Incidents is Enabled)' for use with the project's Timesheets tool. Ability to Upload Folders to the Documents Tool (7/24/2019)

Contextual Search with Documents Files (4/4/2019)  

Users can now search the text of files within the Documents tool. This is supported in PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, CSV, and DWG file formats. It is NOT supported on password-protected files. See Search for and Apply Filters to a Project's Documents.

Updated Process for Uploading Files and Creating Folders (02/27/2019)

The Documents tool has been redesigned with a more streamlined process for adding files and folders. The modernized upload process allows for more reliable uploads for larger files, and will allow for upcoming improvements. Additionally, having file uploads and folder creation accessible from the same drop-down menu at the top of the page offers a more consistent and intuitive user experience. Modified Search Options for Drawings (4/19/2019)

Search Text Within Drawings (3/19/2019)

You can now use the search bar in the Drawings tool to search for specific keywords or terms that appear on your drawings. Procore also highlights the search term on each drawing, making it easier to find what you are looking for. See Search Text Within Drawings.

Rotate Individual Drawings During the Review Phase (2/19/2019)

If you are in the process of reviewing and confirming drawings and notice that a drawing is not in the correct orientation, you can now rotate the PDF on the Drawing Review page before confirming the drawing. See Can I rotate a drawing in Procore?

Drawings Tool Opens to Last Viewed Drawing Area (1/16/2019)

Procore has added a new granular permission in the Directory category of the permission templates feature (see Grant Granular Permissions in a Permission Template) named 'Create Reference Users (Only Applicable if Timesheets or Incidents is Enabled)' to work with the project's Incidents tool.  This works with another granular permission which Procore had previously released 'Update Reference Users (Only Applicable if Timesheets or Incidents is Enabled)' for use with the project's Timesheets tool. Add Witness Statements to an Incident (6/28/2019)

Procore has updated the Incidents tool with the ability to add one or more witness statements to an incident. When a safety incident occurs on a job site, part of the incident investigation process involves collecting statements from witnesses. A witness statement is used to better understand what happened, why it happened, and how similar incidents can be prevented from occurring in the future. See Add a Witness Statement to an Incident.

Added New Filing Type Options to Injury Records (6/4/2019)

Procore has added new Filing Type options for injury records in the Incidents tool. In addition to the existing options, you can now also select First Aid, Medically Treated, Lost Time, and Fatality. See Add an Injury Record to an Incident.

Add Environmental and Property Damage Records to an Incident (6/2/2019)

Procore released an update to the project's Incidents tool to provide users with the ability to add both environmental and property damage records to an incident. Photos (Project Level)

Additional Categories for 'Smart Search' in the Photos Tool (10/01/2019)

Procore has added 12 new categories to use for searching photos in the Photos tool: electrical, nighttime, ppe or personal protective equipment, fencing, retail, earthwork, facade, overhead, ffe or furniture fixtures equipment, bathroom, heavy machinery, and rebar. Since photos need to be scanned for these specific categories, this change will only apply to photos uploaded after this release. Existing categories are aerialpipingpaper, and framing. See Search for and Filter Photos.

'Smart Search' Feature for Photos (7/15/2019)

Procore has released a 'Smart Search' feature for the Photos tool that allows users to search for types of photos using the following terms: aerialpipingpaper, and framing. When photos are uploaded, Procore intelligently scans the photos for those categories and labels them as appropriate. Any photos that were auto-labeled by Procore will appear in search results when using those search terms. See Search for and Filter Photos.

Prime Contract (Project Level)

Export PCCO Markups to Sage 300 CRE Estimates (8/22/2019) 

Procore has released an update that was developed for companies utilizing the automatic financial markup feature for Prime Contract Change Orders on Sage 300 CRE®-integrated Prime Contracts (see About Procore + Sage 300 CRE). The update allows individual markups to be selected as affecting the Contract Amount and the Estimate Amount when syncing Prime Contract Change Orders. This mapping ensures that when a Prime Contract Change Order (PCCO) is exported from Procore to Sage 300 CRE®, the estimate in Sage 300 CRE® is updated accordingly. Prior to this release, the export from Procore only updated revenue amounts. See ERP Integrations: Export PCCO Markups to Sage 300 CRE Estimates.

Added CSV Export Menu Option (1/7/2019)

Updated the Export menu in the top-right corner of the Prime Contract tool to add the CSV export option to the list of selections.

Introducing the Submittals Export Manager (6/17/2019)

When exporting a submittal, users can now have the ability to combine the cover sheet and other attachments into a single PDF. Users can also now rearrange these attachments so they are merged into the PDF in the order you specify. This saves users a number of extra steps they used to take to manually assemble PDFs using third-party PDF software. You can alternatively combine your selected attachments into a ZIP file. See Export a Submittal.

Submittals PDF Markup Feature Temporarily Disabled (5/31/2019)

Customer success with our tools is our top priority. Accordingly, we have decided to roll back the release of the Submittal Markup feature in order to make some enhancements. These changes are based on customer feedback and will result in improved usability. We expect to reintroduce this feature shortly. In the interim, users who click on an attachment will be taken to a read-only viewer.

Sync QuickBooks® Bill Payments with Payments Issued in the Commitments Tool (5/1/2019) 

Users can now automatically sync bill payments made against synced subcontractor invoices from QuickBooks® to the Payments Issued in Procore's Commitments tool. Edit a Contract Payment Number Synced with QuickBooks® (4/12/2019) 

Updated the Payments Issued tab in the Invoicing tool to provide users with the ability to edit a contract payment's Payment # when the payment originated in Procore or when a QuickBooks® payment is synced with the ERP Integrations tool.  If payments are not synced with QuickBooks®, all fields can be edited.

Procore + QuickBooks®: Availability of Send to ERP Button Based on Subcontractor Invoice Status (4/12/2019) 

When all invoices on a commitment have a status of ApprovedApproved as Noted or Pending Owner Approval the Send to ERP button appears on the subcontractor invoice view page, as well as on the Subcontractor tab of the Project level Invoicing tool. When any invoice is sent to the DraftUnder Review, or Revise and Resubmit status, the Send to ERP button is dimmed and includes a tooltip. At this time, only the Procore + QuickBooks® integration supports exporting subcontractor invoices. See Send Subcontractor Invoices to ERP Integrations for Accounting Acceptance.

When a Commitment Change Order (CCO) in a Procore project is synced with QuickBooks®, a link is created between the records stored in each system. Sometimes, users will inadvertently export a CCO from Procore and then discover that the exported data was incorrect. When this occurs, the link between the systems will first need to be deleted manually using the new Unlink button. Prior to this update, a user with 'Admin' level permission was required to send a email request to reset the CCO then users had to wait for the request to be processed. QuickBooks® Desktop Edition Canada (2/25/2019) 

ERP Integrations tool users in Canada can now take full advantage of the same ERP-data synchronization with the US Desktop editions. Supported editions are Canada Desktop Edition of QuickBooks® Premier 2018 and 2019. For more information, see About the QuickBooks® Connector.

Rollout of Export Subcontractor Invoices for QuickBooks® is Complete (2/5/2019)

Procore has completed the rollout of a new feature for the Company level ERP Integrations tool. This feature lets your project users eliminate double-entry and save time by allowing invoices created in Procore's Commitments tool to be exported to your company's integrated QuickBooks® system.  See Export Subcontractor Invoices from Procore to QuickBooks.

When a commitment in a Procore project is synced with QuickBooks®, a link is created between the records stored in each system. Sometimes, users will inadvertently export a commitment from Procore and then discover that the commitment's data as exported was incorrect. When this occurs, the records in both systems will need to be deleted manually and then the correct information must be re-entered in Procore and exported to the integrated ERP system. Updated the Company level Admin tool to give Procore Administrators with the ability to archive Standard Cost Codes in Procore in order to prevent project users from adding those codes to a project. Sage 300 CRE®

Export PCCO Markups to Sage 300 CRE Estimates (8/22/2019)

Procore has released an update that was developed for companies utilizing the automatic financial markup feature for Prime Contract Change Orders on Sage 300 CRE®-integrated Prime Contracts. The update allows individual markups to be selected as affecting the Contract Amount and the Estimate Amount when syncing Prime Contract Change Orders. This mapping ensures that when a Prime Contract Change Order (PCCO) is exported from Procore to Sage 300 CRE®, the estimate in Sage 300 CRE® is updated accordingly. Prior to this release, the export from Procore only updated revenue amounts. See ERP Integrations: Export PCCO Markups to Sage 300 CRE Estimates.

Delete Sage 300 CRE® Project Cost Codes in Procore (3/23/2019)

Procore has been updated to allow for the deletion of Sage 300 CRE® Cost Codes on Procore projects synced with Sage 300 CRE®. Users with 'Admin' level permission on the project's Admin tool will now have the ability to delete project cost codes that have previously been synced with an ERP system. The only requirement is that the cost code must first be deleted in Sage 300 CRE®. See Delete Project Cost Codes from a Procore + Sage 300 CRE Project.

Delete Cost Code Cost Type Assignments Synced with Sage 300 CRE® (2/13/2019)

Before this update was released, your Procore Administrator was required to submit a request to reset a cost type assignment before it could be deleted in Procore. Sage 300 CRE®: Now Pre-filling SubJob ID for Accounting Approvers (1/14/2019)
