Monthly Release Notes

Below are the notable changes to the Procore web application for the month of August 2026.

Recent Changes

insights - new owner and subcontractor invoice review insights available (08/20/2026)

Procore has introduced the following new insights to help you monitor and optimize your invoice and billing workflows:

  • Company Owner Invoices Review and project-level Owner Invoice Review

  • Company Subcontractor Invoice Review and project-level Subcontractor Invoice Review

These insights surface key invoice approval metrics by highlighting pending or overdue invoices. Additionally, they reveal owner invoice creation gaps by pinpointing lags between subcontractor invoice approval and owner invoice creation. The insights help teams pinpoint bottlenecks in billing workflows, improve cash flow, and reduce the risk of missed or inaccurate owner invoices. See About Procore Insights.

ASSETS (PROJECT) - project-level administration for the assets tool (08/18/2026)

Procore introduced new project-level Admin settings within the Assets tool to provide more granular control over asset types and subtypes. The Asset Types tab enabled Project Asset Admins to override Asset Type IDs and manage the visibility of specific asset types to ensure the right asset types along with the right IDs are available as per project requirements. To learn more, see  Override an Asset Type ID for a Project and  Show and Hide Asset Types and Subtypes for a Project.

Workflows - full-page history viewer with pdf & csv export (08/18/2026)

Procore has introduced a full-page history viewer for the Workflows tool, enabling users to access a comprehensive view of an item's workflow history with advanced filtering and column configuration. The Full-Page History Viewer allows users to export workflow data to PDF or CSV formats and provides administrators with the ability to set company-wide default filters. To learn more, see View and Export Full-Page Workflow History at Company Level.

WORKFLOWS - Unified Workflows Side Panel in the Procore Sidebar (08/18/2026)

Procore has integrated the Workflows panel natively into the sidebar to provide a consistent experience across supported project tools. The Workflows side panel allows users to view active workflow statuses, see step history, and start new workflows directly from the sidebar.

document management - design management hub and analytics - (08/18/2026)

Procore has introduced a new Design Management tab within the Project Home Hubs experience, alongside two real-time visual tracking cards for Document Management users. This centralized dashboard helps project admins and document controllers track critical deliverables and resolve workflow delays directly from the project landing page.

  • Documents by Status Card: Adds a visual pie chart breaking down Document Management files by status with explicit item counts and percentages, plus a shortcut link to open the full Document Management list view in a new tab.

  • Workflows by Role / Ball in Court Card: Displays a line chart tracking In Review and Overdue workflows by assigned roles, featuring interactive drill-down modals to identify bottlenecked items on the spot.

  • Scoped Visibility: The Design Management tab is available on all eligible projects, while individual Document Management metrics cards dynamically render only for users holding Standard or Admin level permissions to the Document Management tool.

emails - modernized view now available ( 08/18/2026)

Procore’s modernized Email tool is now available. It delivers an updated interface built on Procore’s modern architecture, achieving full feature parity with the previous Email tool experience. Core email sending functionality and privacy rules remain unchanged. Key capabilities are now restored in the modernized view, allowing users to:

  • Create a Change Event directly from an open email.

  • Toggle an email’s status between Public and Private with a confirmation prompt.

  • Drag and drop tags from the left panel onto email rows or the side panel.

meetings - removed meetings items from My open items list (08/18/2026)

As part of the integration between the Meetings and Tasks tools (web), Procore has removed all meeting items from the My Open Items list. The meeting items will no longer appear in the My Open Items list on your Company level Procore Home page (starting August 18, 2026). Previously, open and on-hold meeting items were duplicated as new entries in each follow-up meeting, creating redundant records and requiring manual status updates across past meetings.

With this enhancement, the My Open Items list displays only tasks, ensuring each action item is represented once and tracked accurately. Key benefits of this enhancement are:

  • Eliminates duplicate reporting: Follow-up meetings will no longer generate additional copies of the same item in My Open Items

  • Presents Tasks as the single source of truth: You can create tasks for meeting items you want to keep track of in My Open Items. This provides a clean, reliable view of your outstanding action items, improving reporting accuracy and team visibility. To learn more, see Create and Manage Tasks in the Meetings Tool.

daily log - added segments (multiple logs per day) (08/18/2026)

Using the Daily Log tool (Web and mobile), you can now create and manage multiple daily logs within the same project on the same day. This enhancement introduces Segments, allowing teams to organize log entries by location, phase, crew, shift, or company — so documentation reflects how work is actually performed on site. This enhancement is compatible with 360 Reporting for aggregated, project-level analysis.

You can create multiple Daily Logs per project per day, each organized as a distinct Segment. Each segment supports its own independent entries for accurate, relevant data capture. You can assign locations to individual Segments — the location is prepopulated when creating entries from that Segment. You can view daily log segments in both List View and Calendar View. Project teams can also filter log views by Segment to focus on the logs most relevant to them. For example, superintendents can focus on their log segments without distraction from other parts of the project. In addition, PDF Exports (include Segment names, organized by Segment ) and Pagination (added to the Segments settings section) capabilities are supported for this enhancement. See Create and Manage Daily Log Segments (Web)Create and Manage Daily Log Segments (iOS), and Create and Manage Daily Log Segments (Android).

analytics - new expanded adoption report and user adoption dataset (08/18/2026)

Procore has introduced the Expanded Adoption report and its corresponding User Adoption dataset in the Analytics tool.

  • Expanded Adoption Report: This report provides a detailed overview of adoption and usage trends among teams using the Procore platform. It can be used to monitor the adoption of new tools and features, such as Scheduling, Resource Management, Connect, and more, in addition to the tools covered by the legacy “Adoption” report. The report acts as a centralized dashboard for tracking Procore usage and assessing the return on investment (ROI) from your Procore product suite. See Expanded Adoption Report. Additionally, you can customize this report to filter usage data by specific tools, track employee activity, and set target record generation percentages for external collaborators. See Configure an Expanded Adoption Report.

  • User Adoption Dataset: This dataset is the foundation of the Expanded Adoption report, providing clear and standardized visibility into how your teams engage with Procore. It can also be used to create or modify Analytics reports in Power BI. The dataset tracks essential metrics, including Date Created, ID, Created By, Tool, Metric, Metric Value, and Metric Definition. Organizations can leverage this information to analyze long-term engagement trends, identify high-performing teams, and monitor historical user activity records, even for items that have been deleted after their creation date. See User Adoption.

specifications - compare specification revisions and documents (08/18/2026)

Procore upgraded the Specifications tool leverage the new Unified Viewer. This allows teams to compare two specification revisions or two separate specification documents directly on the platform without relying on external comparison tools. Reviewers can evaluate changes using Overlay mode with color-coded different highlights or Side by Side mode for dual-pane viewing, complete with alignment controls and toggles like Show/Hide Differences to inspect text changes. Additionally, reviewers can create public or private markups on specification documents and download specification files with or without visible markups.

specifications - annotate pdf files with public and private markup layers (08/18/2026)

Procore updated the Specifications tool to support the Unified Viewer markup toolbar on the web application, enabling project teams to annotate specification PDF files directly within Procore. Project teams can organize annotations into private markup layers (visible only to the author) or publish them as public markup layers for team-wide collaboration. Markups created on the web application are currently available in read-only mode on mobile. To support broader review workflows, project permission templates now include a granular permission (Edit, create, and delete public markup layers) that allows 'Read Only' and 'Standard' level permissions to publish public markups on specifications. Reviewers can also download specification PDFs with or without visible markups and track download activity in the Specification's Download Log.

analytics - modernized analytics ui (phase 1) (08/18/2026)

Procore has redesigned the user interface of the Analytics tool to provide a more intuitive and streamlined experience for managing data connectors and configurations. The updated Analytics UI includes essential features such as a dedicated security token management area, a simplified Databricks direct connection process, and readiness banners for clear status updates. See Analytics 2.0.

daily log - email modernization (08/18/2026)

Procore has modernized email notifications for the Daily Log tool across Web, iOS, and Android in all regions. All Daily Log emails now follow a consistent new design system that notifies users of specific events—such as when a daily log is rejected, marked as complete, or when a weather delay is logged. The Daily Log email updates improves information hierarchy and increases actionability with clearer calls to action.

Project teams can quickly understand daily log updates, take clear action, and jump directly into Procore to follow up without confusion. By improving response times, teams can make faster, smarter decisions to keep projects on schedule. The updated email layouts are also easier to scan and interact with on any device, significantly enhancing readability and usability. See Why Do I Receive Action-Oriented Emails for Daily Logs? for more information.

daily log - added a sticky toolbar for project management (08/18/2026)

The Daily Log tool (Web) now contains a sticky toolbar that remains visible as you scroll through your log entries. The date, applied filters, and selected segment stay in view at all times — so you never lose context while working through a busy log. Previously, scrolling through lengthy Daily Log entries caused the toolbar to disappear, making it difficult to track which date, filters, or segment you were viewing. You had to scroll back to the top to reorient — interrupting your workflow.
The Daily Log is one of the most frequently used tools on a jobsite, and entries build up quickly. This update cuts out unnecessary navigation so Project Managers and Superintendents can work faster and more intuitively. See View a Daily Log in the List View.

360 reporting - compass data now available (08/18/2026)

Procore enables general contractors with an active Compass subscription to access vendor qualification data directly within 360 Reporting. New Compass fields have been added to both the Vendor Table and Bid Vendor Table, enabling unified reporting across prequalification and bidding workflows. New fields include:

  • Compass Q Score, Qualifications Profile URL, and Union Status

  • Insurance & Safety data — EMR, Single/Aggregate Limits, Health & Safety Program details

  • Qualification details — Status, Expiration Date, Annual Revenue, Average Contract Value. Private qualification data is company-specific. Each General Contractor sees only the data they assigned to a subcontractor.

This enhancement eliminates manual tracking by bringing vendor qualification scores, insurance, and safety metrics into the same reporting environment as bidding data — enabling data-driven prequalification decisions and cross-project dashboards. See the 360 Reporting Data Guide.

360 reporting - august data release (08/18/2026)

Procore is releasing the August 2026 data update for the 360 Reporting tool, enhancing reporting capabilities for all users. This release will expand the available data columns and objects to enhance reporting capabilities across multiple tools. Users now have access to new data fields in Daily Log, Direct Cost, Coordination Issue, Incidents, Observations, Scheduling, and other tools. To learn more, see 360 Reporting (Company): Data Change Log and 360 Reporting (Project): Data Change Log.

Procore has updated the Specifications tool on the Procore mobile app for both iOS and Android to enable markup viewing through the Unified Viewer. Field teams viewing specification sections on mobile devices can now see public and private markups created on the Procore web application directly within the mobile PDF viewer canvas.

specifications - compare documents and revisions on mobile (08/18/2026)

Procore updated the Specifications tool on the Procore mobile app for both iOS and Android to support document comparison within the mobile viewer canvas. Field teams can now compare two specification revisions or separate specification sections directly on their mobile devices without returning to a desktop computer. Reviewers can analyze changes using Overlay mode to superimpose documents with visual layout comparison or Tabbed mode to switch seamlessly between base and comparison documents to identify updates on-site.

Procore presents a new tax code dropdown on the Change Order creation screen for companies integrated with ERP, allowing users to apply a tax code to new ERP line items before creating a Commitment Change Order (CCO). The Table Configuration Panel allows users to adjust row heights and column visibility while using sensible defaults and a one-click reset option to maintain the original layout.

CONVERSATIONS - message reactions in procore conversations (08/18/2026)

To streamline communication and reduce thread clutter, Procore Conversations tool on Web now supports message reactions across Direct Messages, Group Conversations, and Item Conversations. Hovering over a message reveals a dedicated reaction icon in the message action bar, opening an emoji tray containing standard and frequently used reactions. Selected reactions appear directly beneath the message as interactive pills displaying live count totals. Hovering over a reaction bubble displays the names of participants who reacted. Each user can maintain one active reaction per message; selecting a new emoji will replace any previous reaction. See How to use message reactions in the Conversations tool.

budget - custom statuses for project status snapshots (08/17/2026)

Procore has introduced custom statuses for project status snapshots in the Budget and Project Status Snapshots tools, providing greater flexibility to align project tracking with internal procedures. Custom statuses allow company admins to create up to 50 color-coded statuses, set a default status for new snapshots, and enable users to filter snapshots by these statuses, making it easier to organize, track, and locate relevant budget records across their portfolio.
