Project Settings

  • Edit the following settings:
    • Show Created By On Log Entries: Mark this checkbox to add a column to each entry that displays the name of the person who created each entry.
    • Set Manpower Logs Hours to Zero on Copy: Mark this checkbox so that the "Hours" and "Workers" values on a copied manpower log are set to zero (0).
Note: If this setting is not enabled, the copied manpower log entry will include the number of hours and workers from the previous entry.
    • Default Distribution: Use the drop-down menu to add users to the Daily Log's default distribution list.
Note: These members will be notified when a daily log is marked as "Complete" and distributed.
    • Show Related To On Daily Log: Mark this checkbox if you want to create and display items related to Daily Log entries.
Daily Log Configuration
  • Select which logs you want displayed in the Daily Log tool, as well as rearrange the order of the items by dragging and dropping them into the desired order. The top logs in this list will appear first, while the last logs in this list will appear last. For a description of how each log can be used, see "Daily Log Overview" in the See Also section below.
  • Collaborator Entry: Mark the "Allow Collaborator Entry" checkbox next to Manpower, Notes, Delivery, and/or Construction Report Logs to allow collaborators with granular permissions enabled to create entries for these logs.
  • Weather log Configuration
    • Hide weather data: Mark this checkbox if you do not want to view national weather service data.
Note: You will still be able to add Observed Weather Log entries.
  • Manpower log Configurations
    • Default hours: Enter a number that will be automatically populated in the Manpower Log's Hours field.
Note: The Hours field is editable, so it is recommended that you add the number of hours that most people will be working on the jobsite for faster daily log entry.
    • Cost Code field: Mark the checkbox if you want to be able to associate a Manpower Log entry with a cost code.
    • Trade field: Mark the checkbox if you want to be able to associate a Manpower Log entry with a trade. See "Add a Custom Trade" in the See Also section below.

Permissions Table

  1. In the right pane, click the Permissions Table page.
This reveals the User Permissions for Daily Log table.
Note: By default, user permissions are inherited from permission template assigned to the user during account creation. See Manage Permission Templates. You can grant or revoke user access to the tool by continuing with the next step.
  2. Grant or revoke user access permissions as follows:
    • To grant a user access permission to a tool, place a green checkmark (check.png) in the Read Only, Standard, or Admin column. The system automatically places a red checkmark (x.png) in the remaining columns.
    • To revoke a user's access permission to the tool, place a green checkmark (check.png) in the None column. The system automatically places a red checkmark (x.png) in the remaining columns.
(Note: If an options are grayed out, that users permissions cannot be changed at the Project level.)

For a complete list of tasks associated with each permission level, see the Daily Log Permissions Matrix in the See Also section below.
