Updated 'Root Cause Analysis' And 'Observation Types Configuration' Pages (3/12/2018)

Updated the Company level Admin tool to add progress indicators (i.e., table loading spinners) on the 'Root Cause Analysis' page. Also updated the 'Observation Types Configuration' page to match observation types and added a tooltip that displays if an observation type is in use on a project and added a BLUE caret to show that users can edit observation types inline.

Added New Enable Docusign Checkbox (1/11/2018)

Added "Enable Docusign" checkbox to the company level Admin tool on the Project Settings page under 'Default Project Settings'. This gives Procore Administrators the ability to enable the Docusign integration on all projects within the company by default. The setting affects new and existing projects. See Configure Your Company's Default Project Settings.

Added a New Prevent Overbilling on All Projects Checkbox to Company Level Admin Tool (1/4/2018)

Added a new checkbox named 'Prevent Overbilling on All Projects' to the Project Settings page of the Company Level Admin tool. If you place a mark in this checkbox, the over billing settings in the Project level Admin tool's Advanced Settings and the Project level Commitment tool's settings pages cannot be modified, the checkboxes will be disabled, and requisitions cannot be over billed.

Directory (Company Level)

Add and Remove Users from All of Your Company's Projects (4/12/2018)

Procore has updated the Company level Directory tool to provide users with 'Admin' level permission with the ability to click a new Add All or Remove All button to add or remove users from all of the project's in a company's Procore account. In addition, if you have configured a user's profile to use a specific permission template, that template will automatically be applied to user on all projects to which he or she is added. Added Tooltip to Invoice Contacts Field in Commitments Tab (4/9/2018) 

Updated the Company level Directory tool to add a tool tip in the Commitments tab on the Invoice Contacts drop-down list. The tooltip reads "This person will be added to the contract and will be the point of contact and signer for subcontractor invoices."

Updated The Default Setting For The Users Tab To Group Users By Company (3/29/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tools so that now, the 'Group By' menu setting for 'Company' is the default setting for the Users tab. See Switch Between Views in the Company Directory and Switch Between Views in the Project Directory.

Added Edit Button to Inactive Companies Tab (3/29/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tools (Default View) to add an Edit button to the Inactive Companies page. Users can now edit records from the Companies or Inactive Companies page. See Edit a Company in the Company Directory and Edit a Company in the Project Directory.

Added ERP Badge And Banner To 'Group By Company' View (3/29/2018)

Updated the 'Group by Company' view in the Directory to include the ERP badge and banner for qualifying users.

Improved Vendor Import Template Now Available (3/28/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tools to provide a new Vendor Import Template (import_template_vendors_XXXXXX.xlsx). With the new template, the 'Required' columns have been moved to the beginning, making it easier to complete the required data entry. Added Tracking For Insurance To Change History (3/26/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tool to add change history tracking to the Insurance tab for a vendor profile. End users can now see insurance changes in the vendor's Change History tab. See Add Insurance for a Vendor in the Company Directory and Add Insurance for a Vendor in the Project Directory.

Improved User Import Template Now Available (3/26/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tools to revise the User Import Template (import_template_users_XXXXXX.xlsx). Prior to this release 'Required' columns (see RED column headings) were spread out across the Add Data Here worksheet on the template. With the new template, the 'Required' columns have been moved to the beginning, making it easier to complete the required data entry. New Directory Tool Experience (3/22/2018)

Procore has updated the Company and Project level Directory tools so that the new Directory experience (which was released and available to all users in 2017 as part of a Beta program), is now Procore's default view. This new user experience was designed to provide Procore users with access to some of the most requested features and performance enhancements. The new Directory layout delivers fast and efficient access to an expanded set of features and benefits. It also includes a new layout that provide users with enhanced capabilities for searching, filtering, sorting, and grouping directory data. Add Filters List Now Includes Company And Project Cost Codes Lists (3/22/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tool so that now, the Add Filter drop-down list in the Companies tab reflects the company or project cost code lists (depending on which directory is being viewed). Added Edit Button To Inactive Users Tab (3/22/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Admin tool to add an Edit button to the Inactive Users tab. Please note that this tab is only visible and available to 'Admin' users only, so users who have been granted the 'Create and Edit Users (Assignable Permission Templates Only)' granular permission will NOT have access permission edit inactive users. See Edit a Person in the Project Directory.

New 'Contract Signer' Field in the Directory Tool for DocuSign (3/22/2018)

Updated the Company level Directory tool to add a new Contract Signer drop-down list to the Create and Edit pages for company records. This new field appears in the General tab. When you select a person associated with the company from this drop-down field, the Procore + DocuSign integration will automatically populate with this person's name as a DocuSign signature recipient for contracts (i.e., the Commitments and Prime Contract tools) and change orders (i.e., Commitment Change Order, Prime Contract Change Order, and Prime Contract Potential Change Order). New Granular Permissions for Direct Costs Tool (3/8/2018) 

Updated the Company level Directory tool to add three (3) new granular permissions the Direct Costs tool. The new permissions include 'Create Direct Cost', 'Update Direct Cost', and 'Delete Direct Cost'. Existing permission templates that grant users 'Standard' level permissions for the Direct Costs tool are now updated so that users with those templates do NOT see any change in functionality. However, please note that users without project permission templates no longer have the ability to create or edit direct cost items, unless their permissions are moved to a permission template that is enabled to use these new permissions. Also note that when you create new permission templates, these new permissions are disabled by default. New Process for Downloading/Sending Directory Import Templates (3/2/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level tools so users with 'Admin' level permission to the tool can download and send completed import templates to Procore. We've added new 'Import People' and 'Import Companies' areas to the Directory tool's right sidebar. These areas contains links for downloading the appropriate templates and sending your completed templates back to Procore. New 'Request Company and People Imports' Granular Permission (3/2/2018)

Procore has released a new granular permission named 'Request Company and People Imports' to provide Procore Administrators (i.e., users with 'Admin' level permission to the Company Directory) with the capability to delegate the task of submitting requests for importing user and company/vendor data on your company or project account to another user with 'Standard' permission on the Project Directory. Added an 'Invoice Contacts' Drop-Down List to the Edit Company Page (2/23/2018)

Updated the Company Directory tool's Edit Company page to add an 'Invoice Contacts' drop-down menu. This gives users the ability to set one or more invoice contacts for each vendor record in a company's Procore account. This change also affects the Project level Commitments tool, so that when creating/editing commitments that correspond to the selected vendor is selected in the "Contract Company" field on the commitment contract.

Updated 'Add Filter' in Companies Tab of Directory To Reflect Cost Code Configuration (2/14/2018)

Updated the selections in the 'Add Filter' drop-down list for the Company and Project level Directory tools. Now, if the company account is using an ERP integration (e.g., Dexter + Chaney Spectrum, QuickBooks, Sage 300 CRE, or Viewpoint Vista), the available selection in the list will show the appropriate cost code types that are available (e.g., Sage 300 CRE Cost Code, QuickBooks Cost Code, and so on). If the ERP Integrations tool is NOT enabled, this selection reads 'Cost Code' or 'Company Name Cost Code.'

Now Showing ABN/EIN in Company Directory (Beta View) (2/8/2018)

Updated the Company Directory (Beta View) so it now shows the Australian Business Number (ABN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN).

Updated the Group by Company View to Show ERP IDs (2/8/2018)

Updated the 'Group by Company' view in the Company and Project Directory tools so it nows shows the ERP ID for the vendor (if the ERP Integrations tool is enabled and the vendor is synced with the integrated ERP system). 

Added 'Synced' icons for Vendors in the Company Directory Synced with ERP Integrations (2/9/2018)

Updated the Company Directory so that now, if the ERP Integrations tool is enabled and vendor record has successfully synced with an integrated ERP system, the 'Synced' ERP icon appears. See What do the ERP icons mean?

Updated the 'Respond to Punch Items Assigned to Users Within Same Company' Granular Permission (2/2/2018)

Updated the Company Directory to correct the verbiage of the Punch List tool's granular permission. The word 'Private' was removed from the label, so it now reads 'Respond to Punch Items Assigned to Users Within Same Company', instead of 'Respond to Private Punch Items Assigned to Users within Same Company.' This label update was to clarify that the permission grants a user the privilege to respond to punch items assigned to other users within the same Procore company account. This includes responding to punch items marked as 'Private'.

Improved the 'Permission Template (Assigned)' Selections in Add Filter Menu (2/1/2018)

Updated both the Company and Project level Directory Tool (Beta View) to improve the Permission Template (Assigned) list in the Add Filter menu. Now, the checkbox options are sorted in alphabetical order, making permission templates easier to find. 

Added New Filter Option To Company Directory (1/8/2018)

Added a 'Permission Template' option to the Add Filter drop-down in the Company Directory (Beta View).

Added New Menu Option To 'Group By' Drop-Down List In Company Directory (1/8/2018)

Added a 'None' selection the Group By drop-down list in the Users view in the Company Directory (Beta View).

Added Locale-Specific Information About The Checkboxes In the Bidding Tab (1/4/2018)

Updated the Company level Directory tool's Bidder Info tab of a company record to provide end users with locale-specific information about the use of the checkboxes. See Set Bidder Information at the Company Level.

Consolidated Columns in the Users And Companies Views (1/4/2018)

Updated the Users and Companies views in the Company level Directory tool (Beta View) so that now, the Email, Phone, and Fax information for a users is combined into a single column. Also updated the Address column so it now combines the Address, City, State, and ZIP.  In addition, changed the list order to be from most requested record to last requested record. See (BETA) Customize the Column Display in the Directory Tool.

Changed The Default Setting For The 'Permission Template (Assigned)' Column (1/4/2018)

Updated the 'Users' view on the Company level Directory tools (Beta View) so that now, the 'Permission Template (Assigned)' column is hidden by default. To turn the column back ON, simply click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) at the top-right on the table and then mark the 'Permission Templates (Assigned)' check box. New Row Height Options In Beta View Company Directory (1/2/2018)

Updated the 'Users' view of the Company Directory (Beta View) tool to provide end users with the ability to customize the row height of the line items in the table. End users now click the vertical ellipsis on the upper right side of the table to view the 'Row Height' customization options on the bottom of the popup menu in the 'Users' view. For users with permission to create projects in Procore, we've streamlined the experience by introducing the new Project Creation Assistant. With this new experience, you can now create projects consistently and efficiently across your company. Configure the project's toolbox, set up cost codes & cost types, add companies & people, and upload drawings & specifications in one continuous setup flow. Renamed the Change Orders Tab (3/26/2018)

Updated the Company level ERP Integrations tool to rename the 'Change Orders' subtab to the 'Commitment Change Orders' tab. In the future, Procore will be introducing the "Prime Contract Change Orders" tab, so the system needs to clarify that "Change Orders" tab is only for "Commitment Change Orders."

Removed 'Archived' Page from the Budget Tab for the Procore + QuickBooks Integration (3/9/2018)

Updated the ERP Integrations tool for the Procore + QuickBooks integration to remove the 'Archived' page from the Budget tab. Because budgets are exported from Procore into QuickBooks, the archive feature in Procore is not used.

Updated ERP Icon Color Scheme (2/16/2018)

If your company has enabled the ERP Integrations tool for use with an integrated ERP system, color-coded icons and ribbons appear in relevant areas of Procore. This visually highlights the data, to help you quickly identify its current state. For details, see ERP Integrations: Updated Color Scheme for ERP Icons.

Updated the Prime Contract Amount on the 'Ready to Import' page of the ERP Integrations tool. The system now syncs new Prime Contract Amount data (if available) in the integrated ERP system on each scheduled sync and each on-demand sync for the ERP-integrated project.

Updated the Project Directory (Beta View) so that now, if your company has enabled the ERP Integrations tool, the Add Filter drop-down list in the Companies view shows 'Sage 300 Cost Codes' as a filter option. Prior to this update, the 'Cost Codes' filter showed the Sage 300 CRE Cost Codes, but it was not explicitly labeled.

New Multiple Choice Inspection Response Options (4/6/2018)

When creating a company level inspection template, Admin users on the company level Inspections tool can now create and assign multiple choice response sets to an inspection item. The option to create multiple choice response sets provides you and your team with flexibility and customizable options that fit your company's needs. These multiple choice response sets are created at the company level and then assigned to existing items within a Company level inspections template. New Inspection Response Options (2/15/2018)

When creating an inspection template, you now have the option to configure the inspection responses to “Safe” / “At-Risk”. This option is available in addition to the response set “Pass / Fail” and allows you to reflect the language of a safety inspection. See Inspections: New Inspection Response Options.

Updated the Create Project Button for Maximum # of Active Projects (3/20/2018)

When a Company meets the limit defined in your account's 'Maximum # of Active Projects', the Create Project button is disabled in Procore. This includes the Create Project button in the Company level Portfolio tool and the Onboarding Concierge.  In addition, the Create Another Project button in the Project Creation Assistant is also disabled. Updated the Project Creation Assistant to update all of the 'Learn More' links in the tip boxes and sidebar. Also updated the URLs that are linked to the 'Go to Training' buttons. These now point to the most current Procore Support Articles & Concierge Training Videos. See Add a New Project.

Deployed Updates for the Upcoming Release of the Project Creation Assistant (3/2/2018) 

In preparation for an upcoming release of a new project creation experience that will be rolled out to end users, the confirmation popup window that appears when you create a project has been removed. In addition, the 'Create Project' button will now to disabled after a user clicks it (to ensure multiple projects are not created). The 'Add New Project' button has also been renamed 'Create Project.' In addition, we've added a link titled 'Learn how to use the Project Creation Assistant' so you can learn about the new process. Now Showing More Requisition Info in My Open Items (2/22/2018)

Updated the Company level Portfolio tool and the Project level Home page so that the 'My Open Items' area now displays both the Requisition Number and Billing Period information in the 'Details' field. This information comes from the Project level Commitments tool. Prior to this update, the My Open Items table only displayed the Requisition Number. Updated Password Banner To Provide First Time End Users With More Clarity (1/27/2018)

Updated the change password banners in Procore's Portfolio tool so the banner now reads 'Set Password' instead of 'Reset Password." This makes it more clear for first-time end users of Procore that his or her password has been set. See Change Your Password.

Added Direct Costs Items to My Open Items (1/12/2018)

Updated the Company level Portfolio tool so that now items from the Direct Costs tool will now appear if you are the Ball in Court person on the corresponding item.

New Columns Available in Custom Change Events Reports for Beta Customers Only (3/13/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tools so that the Non-Commitment And Latest Cost columns are now available on custom reports for the Change Events tool. The new columns are available in the Company level tool if (1) All project in the company account are using the Next Gen Change Events tool and (2) the CE Revenue and Non-committed Cost Beta is enabled on the company account.

Added 'Timesheet Status' Column To Custom Reports (2/21/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tools to add the 'Timesheets Status' column for the Timesheets tool to custom reports. When a report includes this column, users can filter and sort data by PendingApproved, or Blank. As illustrated below, authors can drag-and-drop the new column to include it in the report. Then, when the report is published, end users can apply their desired filter/sort options to organize items by status. See Reports: Added 'Timesheet Status' Column to Custom Reports.

Dashboards Chart Now Show Loading State In Sidebar (2/14/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tools to add a loading state indicator in the sidebar. This allows users to view Dashboards before all charts are loaded.

Added 'Sub Job Code' Column to Custom Timesheet Reports (2/14/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tool to add 'Sub Job Code' to the 'Timesheets - Available Columns' list in custom Timesheet reports. Note: In a timesheet, both the 'Sub Job Name' and 'Sub Job Code' are associated with a timesheet when the person creating or editing the timesheet specifies a 'Sub Job'. See Create a Timesheet

New 'Substantial Completion Dates' for Custom Prime Contract Report (2/13/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tools to add the 'Original Substantial Completion Date' and 'Revised Substantial Completion Date' to the 'Prime Contract - Available Columns' list when creating a custom report for the Prime Contract tool. This adds the columns to your report and also as a selection in the published report's Add Filter drop-down list. Columns are only available when (1) The field is enabled under 'Contract Dates' area on the Project Level Prime Contract tool's Configure Settings page AND (2) the dates are accurate. 

Added 'Contract Dates' to Custom Commitment Reports (2/12/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tools to add the following items to the 'Commitments-Available Columns' list when creating a custom report for the Commitments tool:  Approval Letter Date, Contract Date, Issued On Date, Execution Date, Letter of Intent Date, and Returned Date. This adds each field to the list of filters in the published report's Add Filter drop-down list. Columns are only available when (1) The field is enabled under 'Contract Dates' area on the Project Level Commitment tool's Configure Settings page AND (2) the dates are accurate. Expanded Direct Cost 'Type' Filtering In 'Financial Line Item Details' Custom Report (2/5/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tools to expand the filtering capability of the 'Type' column in the 'Financial Line Item Details' custom report. After the report is built, users can now select 'Type' from the Add Filter drop-down list and then mark the desired checkboxes (i.e.,  Direct Cost Expense, Direct Cost Invoice, Direct Cost Payroll, or Direct Cost Subcontract Invoice) to narrow data in the report to the selected filters.  

Changed Column Name from 'Recipient' to 'Invited Recipient' for Bidding Custom Reports (2/2/2018)

Updated the custom reports feature in the Company and Project level Reports tool to rename a column associated with report data from the Project level Bidding tool. The 'Recipient' column is now named 'Invited Recipient' for more clarity. 

Prime Total in Summary Tab Now Includes Financial Markup (1/17/2018)

Updated the Change Events (Next Gen) tool so that financial markup (Vertical and Horizontal) is now included in the 'Prime Total' column of the Change Events tool's Summary tab. This change also affects the Potential Change Orders and Change Event custom reports feature in the Reports tools.

Timecard Admin Users Can Now Disable Default Time Types For Timecards (3/21/2018)  

Admin's on the Timecard tool can now disable the default and custom time types so that they don't show in the Time Types drop-down menu. See Configure Advanced Settings: Timecard for more information.

Now Providing Shorter File Names for Project Tool File Extracts (4/2/2018)

Updated the Extracts feature in the Project level Admin tool to short the filenames that are bundled in the ZIP file. Extracted files continue to be bundled in a ZIP file with the tool's name, but the files contained in the ZIP no longer include the tool's name. See Extract Project Information.

Updated Multi-Tiered Locations Import Template (3/29/2018)

Updated the template for users importing multi-tiered locations to a project. See Request a Multi-tiered Locations Import 

Moved 'Download Link' For 'Admin' Users In Locations Page (3/12/2018)

Updated the Project level Admin tool to move the 'Download Template' link for users with 'Admin' level permission to the bottom of the page under the 'Import Locations' area.

Added Printer Icon for QR Codes in Project Admin Tool (2/9/2018)

Updated the Locations page under Project Settings to change the vertical ellipsis (⋮) icon, which was formerly used to print QR codes. The Locations page now shows a Printer icon to provide users with more clarity about the page's print function. 

Added Print QR Code Options for Tiered Locations (2/9/2018)

Updated the 'What to Print' area of the Print QR Code window to provide users with the ability to choose between printing only QR codes for the selected tier or printing all QR codes under the selected tier.

New 'Print QR' Option To Print Location QR Codes In Bulk (1/8/2018)

Added a new 'Print QR' option to provide end users with the ability to print multiple QR codes from the Admin tool. To use the new setting, navigate to the Company level Admin tool. Under Project Settings, click Locations. Then click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) and select Print QR. In the window that appears, mark the checkboxes that correspond to the desired Locations. Added Auto-Formatting to Bid Amounts for Bidding Tool (2/22/2018)

Previously, when a user was entering their bid amounts on a bid sheet in the Bidding tool, the amount field would not format with commas and decimals as the amounts were entered. Improved Add Filter List for Cost Codes In Budget Tool (4/12/2018)

Updated the Project level Budget tool to improve the search capability on the Add Filter list for Cost Codes. Now, end users can start typing a cost code number and the Cost Code drop-down list will only show codes that match the search criteria.

Importing Unit of Measure & Unit Quantity Update Now Updates the Original Budget Amount (4/2/2018)

Users requested the ability to import budget updates that only included the 'Unit of Measure' and 'Unit Quantity' values. Prior to this change, when end users attempted to update the values using the CSV import, the 'Original Budget Amount' was set to zero (0). Now, when end users update the 'Unit of Measure' and 'Unit Quantity' values through a CSV import, the Original Budget Amount is updated as expected. See Import a Budget CSV.

Updated Source Column Configuration for Requisitions (3/21/2018) 

Updated the Project level Budget tool so that users can now create a new requisition source column by clicking the Create button. This opens a setup window where end users can then select Requisitions from the Source drop-down list. This setup window also provides users with the ability to choose the Gross or Net option button (Note: The Gross button is Procore's default selection). Users can also apply any desired Status filters.

Improved Scrolling in Budget & Forecast Tabs (3/12/2018) 

Previously, on large projects, scrolling lagged on both the Budget and Forecast tabs. Now, scrolling on large projects is smoother and quicker. When users scroll, the data in the table shows a loading state which then disappears once the user stops scrolling. This allows for a faster scrolling experience.

Attach Non-PDF File Types to DocuSign Envelope (4/10/2018)

Added support so users now have the ability to attach non-PDF file types to the DocuSign Envelope when sending a Commitment, Prime Contract, Change Order, Payment Application, or Requisition to DocuSign for signature.

When an end user was emailed a prime contract or commitment, the email message sent from Procore, the hyperlinks in the email were not clear as to whether the link would send the user to Procore or download a PDF version of a contract. To address this issue, the 'View PDF' link underneath the 'View This Contract' has been renamed to 'View in Procore'.

Added 'Executed' Column To The Commitments Tool (3/28/2018)

Updated the Commitments tool by adding an Executed column that is inline-editable.

New 'Contract Signer' Field in the Directory Tool for DocuSign (3/22/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tool to add a new Contract Signer drop-down list to the Create and Edit pages for company records. This new field appears in the General tab. When you select a person associated with the company from this drop-down field, the Procore + DocuSign integration will automatically populate with this person's name as a DocuSign signature recipient for contracts (i.e., the Commitments and Prime Contract tools) and change orders (i.e., Commitment Change Order, Prime Contract Change Order, and Prime Contract Potential Change Order). Added 'Invoice Contacts' to Directory & Show Vendor as 'Contract Company' in Commitments Tool (2/23/2018)

Updated the Company Directory tool's Edit Company page to add an 'Invoice Contacts' drop-down menu. This gives users the ability to set one or more invoice contacts for each vendor record in a company's Procore account. This change also affects the Project level Commitments tool, so that when users create or edit commitments that correspond to a vendor, that contact's name is selected in the "Contract Company" field on the commitment contract.

Now Showing More Requisition Info in My Open Items (2/22/2018)

Updated the Company level Portfolio tool and the Project level Home page so that the 'My Open Items' area now displays both the Requisition Number and Billing Period information in the 'Details' field. This information comes from the Project level Commitments tool. Prior to this update, the My Open Items table only displayed the Requisition Number. Implemented a change so that each 'Invoice Contact' on a commitment will automatically populate on the DocuSign envelope as a 'Subcontractor' recipient for requisitions.

Added 'Contract Dates' to Custom Commitment Reports (2/12/2018) 

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tools to add the following items to the 'Commitments-Available Columns' list when creating a custom report for the Commitments tool:  Approval Letter Date, Contract Date, Issued On Date, Execution Date, Letter of Intent Date, and Returned Date. This adds each field to the list of filters in the published report's Add Filter drop-down list. Columns are only available when (1) The field is enabled under 'Contract Dates' area on the Project Level Commitment tool's Configure Settings page AND (2) the dates are accurate. New Granular Permissions for Direct Costs Tool (3/8/2018)

Updated the Company level Directory tool to add three (3) new granular permissions the Direct Costs tool. The new permissions include 'Create Direct Cost', 'Update Direct Cost', and 'Delete Direct Cost'. Existing permission templates that grant users 'Standard' level permissions for the Direct Costs tool are now updated so that users with those templates do NOT see any change in functionality. However, please note that users without project permission templates no longer have the ability to create or edit direct cost items, unless their permissions are moved to a permission template that is enabled to use these new permissions. Also note that when you create new permission templates, these new permissions are disabled by default. Improved User Import Template Now Available (3/26/2018)

New Directory Tool Experience (3/22/2018)

Procore has updated the Company and Project level Directory tools so that the new Directory experience (which was released and available to all users in 2017 as part of a Beta program), is now Procore's default view. This new user experience was designed to provide Procore users with access to some of the most requested features and performance enhancements. The new Directory layout delivers fast and efficient access to an expanded set of features and benefits. It also includes a new layout that provide users with enhanced capabilities for searching, filtering, sorting, and grouping directory data. New Process for Downloading/Sending Directory Import Templates (3/2/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level tools so users with 'Admin' level permission to the tool can download and send completed import templates to Procore. We've added new 'Import People' and 'Import Companies' areas to the Directory tool's right sidebar. These areas contains links for downloading the appropriate templates and sending your completed templates back to Procore. New 'Request Company and People Imports' Granular Permission (3/2/2018)

Procore has released a new granular permission named 'Request Company and People Imports' to provide Procore Administrators (i.e., users with 'Admin' level permission to the Company Directory) with the capability to delegate the task of submitting requests for importing user and company/vendor data on your company or project account to another user with 'Standard' permission on the Project Directory. Updated 'Add Filter' in Companies Tab of Directory Tools To Reflect Cost Code Configuration (2/14/2018)

Updated the selections in the 'Add Filter' drop-down list for the Company and Project level Directory tools. Now, if the company account is using an ERP integration (e.g., Dexter + Chaney Spectrum, QuickBooks, Sage 300 CRE, or Viewpoint Vista), the available selection in the list will show the appropriate cost code types that are available (e.g., Sage 300 CRE Cost Code, QuickBooks Cost Code, and so on). If the ERP Integrations tool is NOT enabled, this selection reads 'Cost Code' or 'Company Name Cost Code.'

Added Sage 300 CRE Standard Cost Codes to Project Directory Tool's Add Filter Drop-Down List (2/07/2018)

Updated the Project Directory (Beta View) so that now, if your company has enabled the ERP Integrations tool, the Add Filter drop-down list in the Companies view shows 'Sage 300 Cost Codes' as a filter option. Prior to this update, the 'Cost Codes' filter showed the Sage 300 CRE Cost Codes, but it was not explicitly labeled.

Added Multi-Select Markup to Drawings Tool (2/9/2018)

Updated the Drawings tool's Fullscreen Viewer to add the ability for users with publishing access to be able to press SHIFT + Click to bulk select and publish or delete markup. Users without publish access will now have the ability to SHIFT + Click their personal markup and have the option to bulk delete. Also, if a user tries to delete markup elements with attachments, a message appears to confirm the delete action.

Added Scrolling on Drawing Review Page with UP/DOWN Arrow Keys (2/5/2018)

Users can now scroll through the drawings on the Drawing Review page by pressing the UP/DOWN arrow keys on their computer's keyboard.

Download PDF Drawings with Smart Markups from Email Messages (2/5/2018) 

When sending a drawing to a project users from the Drawings tool, your recipients can now click the 'Download Markup' link in the message to download a PDF copy of the drawing that now supports vector-based smart markup. Note: Keep in mind that smart markups on drawing files only show the markups that were present at the time the email was sent. This is a follow-on update related to Drawings: Download with Smart Markup.

Redesigned the Upload Window for the Photos Tool (1/30/2018)

Updated the project's Photos tool to redesign the window used to upload a photo. This new window improves the user experience by providing you with the ability to perform the following tasks all at once: upload a photo, select a trade, choose the album for the upload, and attach a location.

Added a 'Confirm All' Button to New Review Page (1/26/2018)

Updated the New Drawing Review Page to add a new 'Confirm All' button that allows users to confirm uploaded drawings in batches of ten (10).

Updated Permissions for Foreman/Superintendent - Internal Template (3/14/2018)

For all new Procore company accounts, we've updated the permissions on the Project level Forms tool so that the the Foreman/Superintendent - Internal template is now granted 'Standard' level permission to the Forms tool. See What are the default permission templates in Procore?

Updated the Edit Form Page (2/1/2018)

Updated the Forms tool to perform minor cosmetic updates on the Edit Form page to improve the user experience. See Edit a Form.

Introducing the New Forms Tool (1/24/2018)

The new Forms tool gives your users the ability to upload any existing Fillable PDF Forms your company sends to collaborators to complete during the project lifecycle. Users with 'Admin' level permission will be able to select and add pre-existing custom templates to a project. Team members can also fill out, save, and store Fillable PDF Forms in Procore.

  • Forms is only available to clients who have purchased the Quality + Safety Product Line.
  • Support for Forms is available on Android and iOS. See Forms (Android) and  Forms (iOS).
  • Why? Prior to the Forms tool, clients stored various forms in the Documents tool.  This was very inefficient because if any of these forms were updated, clients would have to rely on users to save the new form to their folders or update the file themselves.

Home (Project Level)

Improved Weather Icons (3/6/2018)

Improved the weather icons that display across all Procore platforms so that they are now consistent. The weather icons show in the Project Home and in Weather Forecasting. 

Now Showing More Requisition Info in My Open Items (2/22/2018)

Updated the Company level Portfolio tool and the Project level Home page so that the 'My Open Items' area now displays both the Requisition Number and Billing Period information in the 'Details' field. This information comes from the Project level Commitments tool. Prior to this update, the My Open Items table only displayed the Requisition Number. The new Project Links feature in the Project level Home page is now in general release. This lets you share tools and information from external resources with your team from within in the Procore web application. See Project Home: Project Links

Inspections (Project Level)

Updated the Export PDF File for an Inspection (4/3/2018)

Updated the checkboxes on the PDF for an inspection so it now shows the full word for inspection item 'Status' instead of an initial. (e.g., 'Pass' instead of 'P', 'Fail' instead of 'F'). Also updated the PDF so that if a multiple response set is being used, only the chosen response shows in the PDF. See Export Inspections as a PDF or CSV.

Export PDF File Now Includes Root Cause Analysis Fields (3/9/2018)

Updated the Project level Inspections tool so that now, when you export an inspection to the PDF file format, the PDF includes the following Root Cause Analysis fields: Contributing Behavior, Contributing Condition, and Hazards.

New Inspection Response Options (2/15/2018)

When creating an inspection template, you now have the option to configure the inspection responses to “Safe” / “At-Risk”. This option is available in addition to the response set “Pass / Fail” and allows you to reflect the language of a safety inspection. See Inspections: New Inspection Response Options.

Added Ability to Edit Inspection Numbers (2/5/2018)

Updated the Inspections tool to provide end users with the ability to edit inspection numbers. If a user attempts to change an inspection number to a number that is already used, the system displays a message that gives the user to click 'Use Next Available Number' or 'Continue' (which assigns the selected inspection the duplicate number).

Added a Default Distribution List To the Configure Settings Page (2/2/2018)

Updated the Project level Inspections tool to add a new Default Distribution drop-down list on the Inspection Settings page. This provides users with the ability to set a default distribution list for new inspections.

Meetings (Project Level)

Updated Verbiage For Meetings Configuration Settings (3/5/2018)

Improved Meeting Minutes (2/20/2018)

Updated the Meetings tool by adding the ability to in-line edit meeting minutes, show/hide minutes from older meeting's and star minutes so that they stay visible on future meetings.

Updated Filenames for Agenda & Meeting Minutes PDF Exports (1/2/2018)

Updated the Meetings tool to rename the Meetings PDF export file so that now both the Agenda and Minutes export PDFs display a more meaningful name. Prior to this release, the export file used a random string name.

Added 'Date Created' Column (4/13/2018)

Added a 'Date Created' column on the List, Grouped by Type, and Recycle Bin tabs. It is also included in exports from the Observations tool.

Updated the Project level Observations tool so end users can now click a hyperlink to view the spec section when viewing an observation. See View an Observation.

Updated 'Root Cause Analysis' And 'Observation Types Configuration' Pages (3/12/2018)

Updated the Company level Admin tool to add progress indicators (i.e., table loading spinners) on the 'Root Cause Analysis' page. Also updated the 'Observation Types Configuration' page to match observation types and added a tooltip that displays if an observation type is in use on a project and added a BLUE caret to show that users can edit observation types inline.

Project Observation Templates: 'Default Assignee' Can Now Have 'Standard' Level Permission Or Higher (3/9/2018) 

Updated the Project level Observations tool so that when users create an observation template, they can now select users with 'Standard' level permission from the 'Default Assignee' drop-down list. Added Quick Observations (3/8/2018)

Quick Observations allows you to create a library of common observation items that can be organized under preset categories. Default titles, trades, and types can be assigned to these common observations. When a Procore user creates a new observation from a mobile device, they can select one of these templates, which auto-populates fields on the new observation item with default information from the template. Users can then add or edit information as needed, save the observation item, and move on. This allows users to select common observation items from their library and create new observation items more efficiently and with significantly less typing. See Observations: Quick Observations.

Added 'Timesheet Status' Column To Custom Reports (2/21/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tools to add the 'Timesheets Status' column from the Timesheets tool to custom reports. When a report includes this column, users can filter and sort data by PendingApproved, or Blank. As illustrated below, authors can drag-and-drop the new column to include it in the report. Then, when the report is published, end users can apply their desired filter/sort options to organize items by status. See Reports: Added 'Timesheet Status' Column to Custom Reports.

Moved Views from Right Sidebar to Tool's Header (1/30/2018)

Updated the Observations tool to change the location of the different views from the right sidebar to the tool's header area.

Added New Root Cause Analysis Fields for the Observations Tool (1/30/2018)

Updated the Observations tool to add new root cause analysis fields named, 'Hazard', 'Contributing Condition', and 'Contributing Behavior'. These fields are available in new observations created with the Observations tool (see Create an Observation) and new observations created in the Inspections tool (see Create an Observation from an Inspection). To configure these fields, use the Admin tool. See Add Root Cause Analysis Fields and Delete Root Cause Analysis Fields.

Prime Contract (Project Level)

Attach Non-PDF File Types to DocuSign Envelope (4/10/2018)

Added support so users now have the ability to attach non-PDF file types to the DocuSign Envelope when sending a Commitment, Prime Contract, Change Order, Payment Application, or Requisition to DocuSign for signature.

When an end user was emailed a prime contract or commitment, the email message sent from Procore, the hyperlinks in the email were not clear as to whether the link would send the user to Procore or download a PDF version of a contract. To address this issue, the 'View PDF' link underneath the 'View This Contract' has been renamed to 'View in Procore'.

New 'Contract Signer' Field in the Directory Tool for DocuSign (3/22/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tool to add a new Contract Signer drop-down list to the Create and Edit pages for company records. This new field appears in the General tab. When you select a person associated with the company from this drop-down field, the Procore + DocuSign integration will automatically populate with this person's name as a DocuSign signature recipient for contracts (i.e., the Commitments and Prime Contract tools) and change orders (i.e., Commitment Change Order, Prime Contract Change Order, and Prime Contract Potential Change Order). Added the 'Signature' and 'Date Signed' Fields to DocuSign Envelope (2/16/2018) 

Updated the Commitments tool (Requisitions) and the Prime Contract tool (Payment Applications) to add the automatically placed "Signature" and "Date Signed" fields (tags) to the DocuSign Envelope.

Status Changes to 'Approved' After Completed DocuSign Signature (2/14/2018)

Implemented a change on the Project level Commitments tool (for work order and purchase order contracts) and also on the Project level Prime Contract tool so that now the items status changes to 'Approved' after e-signatures are completed in DocuSign.

New 'Substantial Completion Dates' for Custom Prime Contract Report (2/13/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tools to add the 'Original Substantial Completion Date' and 'Revised Substantial Completion Date' to the 'Prime Contract - Available Columns' list when creating a custom report for the Prime Contract tool. This adds the columns to your report and also as a selection in the published report's Add Filter drop-down list. Columns are only available when (1) The field is enabled under 'Contract Dates' area on the Project Level Prime Contract tool's Configure Settings page AND (2) the dates are accurate. 

Updated ERP Integrations Tool's Sync For Prime Contract Amount (2/12/2018)

Updated the Prime Contract Amount on the 'Ready to Import' page of the ERP Integrations tool. The system now syncs new Prime Contract Amount data (if available) in the integrated ERP system on each scheduled sync and each on-demand sync for the ERP-integrated project. 

Now Setting Value in Executed Field to 'No' When User Clicks Withdraw (2/8/2018)

Implemented a change that affects the Prime Contract, Commitments, and Change Orders tools so that if a user clicks 'Withdraw' on the DocuSign banner in Procore and then confirms to withdraw the Docusign envelope, the value in the 'Executed' field is set back to 'No.'

New Confirmation Messages for the Procore + DocuSign Integration (2/5/2018)

Added new confirmation messages that appear when (1) a user clicks the 'Void' button on the BLUE DocuSign Pending Banner or (2) a user clicks the 'Withdraw' button on the GREEN DocuSign Complete Banner. This new message prompts the user to confirm the void or withdraw action and appears in the Commitments, Documents, and Prime Contract tools when the Procore + DocuSign integration is enabled.

DocuSign Signature Completion Updates Change Order Status to 'Approved' (2/5/2018)

For companies using the Procore + DocuSign integration, we've updated the Project level Commitments and Project level Prime Contract tool so that now, when signatures are completed in DocuSign for a change order, its status is updated to 'Approved'. This applies to Prime Contract Change Orders, Potential Change Orders, and Commitment Change Orders. 

Added the Procore + DocuSign Integration to Payment Applications (1/27/2018)

Updated the project's Prime Contract tool to team's using the Procore + DocuSign integration (see DocuSign) with the ability to sign Payment Applications. 

Enhanced Cost Code Display In Payment Application and Requisition Detail (1/12/2018)

Updated the Cost Code column on the table in the Payment Application and Requisition Detail tab so it is now left-aligned. Also updated the column so that if the cost code is too long to fit in the display area, an ellipsis (…) will appear to the right of the code. If a user hovers over the ellipsis, the full cost code will now appear in a tool tip.

Pre-filled Header Information For Summary Page On Owner Invoice (1/4/2018)

Updated the create, edit, and show pages for Payment Application. Now, the Commitment Billing Period field is the first field on the page. Also updated the create page so that the Period Start and Period End dates are prefilled with the same dates as the selected Commitment Billing Period. The Commitment Billing Period will be automatically prefilled with the last Billing Period. The invoice number field will also be prefilled with the Payment Application number.

Added 'Assignee Name' to List of Bulk Edit Options (4/10/2018)

Updated the list of options in the 'Bulk Edit' menu in the Punch List tool to add 'Assignee Name'. See Bulk Edit Punch List Items

Consolidated Punch Item Images In Attachments Field (3/16/2018)

Updated the Project level Punch List tool to consolidate the files stored in the Attachments field. Procore now stores the files in 'Photos from Mobile Application' and the files in 'Attachments' in a single field. 

'Change History' for Punch Items Now Only Visible To 'Admin' Users (3/8/2018)

Updated the Project level Punch List tool so that now, the 'Change History' link on a punch item is only visible and available to users with 'Admin' level permission on the tool. Access for that link is no longer permitted for users with 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permission. 

Updated the 'Respond to Punch Items Assigned to Users Within Same Company' Granular Permission (2/2/2018)

Updated the Company Directory to correct the verbiage of the Punch List tool's granular permission. The word 'Private' was removed from the label, so it now reads 'Respond to Punch Items Assigned to Users Within Same Company', instead of 'Respond to Private Punch Items Assigned to Users within Same Company.' This label update was to clarify that the permission grants a user the privilege to respond to punch items assigned to other users within the same Procore company account. This includes responding to punch items marked as 'Private'.

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tools so that the Non-Commitment And Latest Cost columns are now available on custom reports for the Change Events tool. The new columns are available in the Company level tool if (1) All project in the company account are using the Next Gen Change Events tool and (2) the CE Revenue and Non-committed Cost Beta is enabled on the company account.

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tool to add 'Sub Job Code' to the 'Timesheets - Available Columns' list in custom Timesheet reports. Note: In a timesheet, both the 'Sub Job Name' and 'Sub Job Code' are associated with a timesheet when the person creating or editing the timesheet specifies a 'Sub Job'. See Create a Timesheet

Expanded Direct Cost 'Type' Filtering In 'Financial Line Item Details' Custom Report (2/5/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Reports tools to expand the filtering capability of the 'Type' column in the 'Financial Line Item Details' custom report. After the report is built, users can now select 'Type' from the Add Filter drop-down list and then mark the desired checkboxes (i.e.,  Direct Cost Expense, Direct Cost Invoice, Direct Cost Payroll, or Direct Cost Subcontract Invoice) to narrow data in the report to the selected filters.  

Changed Column Name from 'Recipient' to 'Invited Recipient' for Bidding Custom Reports (2/2/2018)

Updated the custom reports feature in the Company and Project level Reports tool to rename a column associated with report data from the Project level Bidding tool. The 'Recipient' column is now named 'Invited Recipient' for more clarity. 

Prime Total in Summary Tab Now Includes Financial Markup (1/17/2018)

Updated the Change Events (Next Gen) tool so that financial markup (Vertical and Horizontal) is now included in the 'Prime Total' column of the Change Events tool's Summary tab. This change also affects the Potential Change Orders and Change Event custom reports feature in the Reports tools.

​RFIs (Project Level)

Improved the 'RFI Emails' Settings for the RFIs Tool (4/17/2018)

To give project managers greater control over who and when emails are sent from the Project level RFIs tool, Procore has redesigned the 'RFI Emails' area on the Configure Settings page. Users with 'Admin' level permission on the RFIs tool can now either apply the default settings (pictured below) or customize the settings to send emails to users in specific roles. Prior to this redesign, RFI administrators only had the ability to turn emails ON and OFF. See RFIs: New! Improved RFI Email Settings.

Overdue Email for RFI Now Sent to Assignee With BIC Responsibility (4/10/2018)

Updated the RFIs tool so that now, when an RFI in the 'Open' status exceeds its 'Due Date', Procore now sends an email notification to the person designated as an 'Assignee' who has Ball In Court (BIC) responsibility for the RFI. 

Updated the RFIs tool to remove the 'View PDF' link from RFI Due Date Changed emails. This link was not commonly clicked by end users. For an illustration of the updated email, see When does the RFIs tool send email notifications?

RFIs That Were Closed In the 'Draft' Status Can Now Be Reopened in the 'Draft' Status (2/21/2018) 

Updated the Project level RFIs tool so that users can now reopen an RFI that was closed while it was in the 'Draft' status. To do this, click the Reopen RFI button in the sidebar. This reopens the RFI, places it back into the 'Draft' status and sends an email to the appropriate users. See What is a 'Draft' RFI?Close an RFI, and Reopen an RFI.

RFIs: Export PDFs Now Use a File Naming Convention (2/13/2018)

Updated the Project level RFIs tool so that now, when the system downloads a PDF file using the Export > All Responses or Export > Official Responses Only menu options, Procore now allows users to download a file that can be more easily identified. The PDF file name now starts with the following file naming convention: <Project Name>-<RFI Number>-<RFI Title>/pdf. See RFIs: Export PDFs Now Use a File Naming Convention.

Eliminated Redundant Email Notifications (1/30/2018)

Updated the RFIs tool to eliminate a number of redundant email notifications being sent to users who perform actions on RFIs. When a person designated as an RFI Manager is also the person who creates a 'Draft' or 'Open' RFI, the system will no longer send that RFI Manager a notification email. Likewise, if the Assignee on a RFI performs an action, that Assignee will no longer receive a notification email from the system. Other users who have permission to perform actions on RFIs and then update an RFI will also not be notified. 

New 'Include Sublocations' Option in Add Filter Drop-Down List (1/4/2017)

Updated the RFIs tool to add a new 'Include Sublocations' check box option in the secondary 'Add Filter' drop-down list for 'Locations'. See Search for and Filter RFIs.

Schedule (Project Level)

Gantt Chart Now Available in Schedule Tool (4/4/2018)

Updated the Project level Schedule tool to make the Gantt Chart visible. Users with 'Admin' level permission on the Schedule tool can now select the Enable MS Project Viewer check box on the Configure Settings page. This providers end users with the ability to click the Gantt Chart link in the right sidebar to open a page that reveals the Gantt Chart view of their project's schedule. Updated Schedule PDF Export Filenames (1/24/2018)

Updated the project's Schedule tool to improve how exported PDF files are named. This makes file names more uniform with the conventions used by other Procore tools:

  • For 'All' Export: Schedule Items (All)_YYYY-MM-DD.pdf
  • For 'Day' Export: Schedule Items (Day)_YYYY-MM-DD.pdf
  • For 'Week' Export: Schedule Week View (YYYY-MM-DD - YYYY-MM-DD).pdf

Submittals (Project Level)

Added Fields to Export PDF for a Submittal (4/13/2018)

Updated the PDF export file for a submittal so it now includes the 'Approver Due Date' and 'Location'.

Removed the 'View PDF' link next to 'More Details' in the 'Updated Submittal' email notification. To view the PDF, users can now click 'View Online' and then log in to Procore to use the Export PDF option.

Allow Approvers to Add Reviewers to Their Step in the Workflow (4/9/2018)

The 'Allow Approvers to Add Reviewers to Their Step in the Workflow' configuration is now enabled by default. In addition, users with 'Admin' level permission can turn this feature on an off in the Configure Settings page (see Configure Advanced Settings: Submittals Tool). This setting provides submitters and approvers with the ability to foward a submittal to another user for review. See Forward a Submittal for Review

Enable Submittal Schedule Calculations (4/9/2018)

Users with 'Admin' level permission can now enable the submittal schedule calculations feature on the Project level Submittals tool. Prior to this update, a request had to be submitted to Procore to enable this feature on the backend. See Enable Submittal Schedule Calculations.

Create & Apply Submittal Workflow Templates (4/4/2018)

If you have been granted 'Admin' level permission on the Project level Submittals tool, you can now create submittal workflow templates. A submittal workflow template gives you the ability to define the submitters and approvers for your project's submittal review process. If you create multiple submittal workflow templates, your project users will also have the option of applying a selected template to the submittal(s) they create. For details, see Submittals: Create and Apply Submittal Workflow Templates

Updated Exports from Spec Sections And Recycle Bin Tabs (3/19/2018)

Updated the Spec Sections view and Recycle Bin tabs in the Project level Submittals tool so that now, CSV and PDF exports will respect the sort settings that are selected on the view.

System Focus On Search Field in Submittals Page (3/19/2018)

Updated the Submittals tool so that now, when you navigate to the Project level Submittals tool, the page opens with the system's focus placed on the Search field.

Updated Submittals Import Template For All Projects (3/9/2018)

Updated the Project level Submittals tool so all Procore projects now use the same submittals import template. If the Submittal Schedule Calculations feature is turned ON, the template will continue to require additional delivery date entries. The new template is available for download on the Procore Import Templates page. The previous templates (import-submittals-sequential.xlsx and import-submittals-parallel.xlsx) have been deprecated. Submittals PDF Export Now Includes Sorting On Items View (3/8/2018)

Updated the Project level Submittals tool so that now, when a user exports a list of submittals on the Items view, the PDF export file includes any sorting options selected on that page. See Export the Submittals Log

Updated Required Fields When Forwarding a Submittal for Review (3/6/2018)

Updated the Project level Submittals tool so that now, both the 'Forward To' and 'Return By' fields are required when forwarding a submittal for review. See Forward a Submittal for Review.

Added the 'Forward for Review' Functionality to the Submittal Workflow (2/23/2018)

Due to popular demand, we've updated the Project level Submittals tool to add the 'Forward for Review' functionality to the new submittal workflow widget. Now, if an 'Approver' on a submittal workflow forwards the submittal to another person (i.e., a person not named on the workflow), the system will shift the 'Ball In Court' responsibility from the forwarding 'Approver' to the designated recipient of the forward. For added clarity, the system will also update the Approver’s response status to 'Forwarded for Review'.

After the recipient of the forward submits a response, the system will shift the ‘Ball In Court’ responsibility back to the forwarding ‘Approver’.  This changes the response status for the forwarding ‘Approver’ to ‘Pending’ and also sends them an automated email notification so he or she is aware that their selected recipient has submitted a response. PDF Export File Now Uses a Standard Naming Convention (2/23/2018) 

Updated the Project level Submittals tool so that now, when users export a submittal to the PDF format, the system uses a standard filename convention to make it easier for you to quickly identify the file. The new file naming convention is: {Project Name}-Submittal{Submittal Number}-Rev {Revision Number}-{Submittal Title}.pdf. See Export a Submittal.

Updated the 'Notify Approvers or Approvers Comments' Configuration Setting (2/22/2018)

Updated the Project level Submittals tool to make a change to the function of the 'Notify Approvers or Approver Comments' checkbox in the Configure Settings page. When this configuration setting is marked, the system sends an automated email notifications to people set as 'Approver' on the submittal workflow. Keep in mind that this configuration setting does NOT send an automated email notification to people who are as 'Submitter' on the submittal workflow. Added Drag-and-Drop Support On Submittal Workflow For IE11 Users (2/6/2018)

Internet Explorer 11 users can now use a drag-and-drop operation to change the order of the workflow steps on the submittal workflow. See Submittals: Added Drag-and-Drop Support On Submittal Workflow For Internet Explorer 11 Users.

Submittals: Updated Button/Banner Behavior When Distributing Submittals (2/5/2018)

Improved the button and banner behavior in the Submittals tool to clarify the state of a submittal workflow. This improves the experience for end users who are responsible for distributing a submittal. See Distribute a Submittal and Redistribute a Submittal. Updates include:

  • While the submittal workflow is in progress, a BLUE 'Workflow in Progress banner appears when viewing the submittal. 
  • When the required submittal workflow is completed, a GREEN 'Workflow is Complete' banner displays along with either a 'Close and Distribute' or 'Close and Redistribute' button. 
  • After a submittal is successfully distributed, a GREEN banner appears at the top of the submittal to confirm the distribute action. 
  • In addition, the Redistribute link that once appeared in the GOLD 'Submittal Distributed' banner is now a Redistribute button in the right pane.
Rearrange Approvers In New Submittal Workflow Widget (1/30/2018)

Updated the Submittals tool so that you can now rearrange the order of your approvers in a submittal workflow. This update is NOT currently supported for users with the Internet Explorer browser.  

Access Custom Reports on the Submittals Tool Sidebar (1/30/2018)

Now, when you create a custom report that includes data from the Submittals tool, those reports will appear in the right sidebar of the Submittals tool. The will be listed from most to least recent. In addition, clicking the Create New link now launches the project's Reports tool (instead of the legacy version of the Submittals report tool). See Create a Custom Submittals Report.

Mark Submittal Approvers as Required to Respond (1/29/2018)

You can now mark which Approvers/Submitters are required to respond in the Submittal Workflow to shift the ball-in-court. If nobody is marked as required within a step, the first Approver/Submitter to respond will shift the ball-in-court to the next step in the workflow. Added Inline Editing on Package View (1/24/2018)

Updated the Submittals tool so now the 'Sent Date' and 'Return Date' for a single approver on a submittal package can be edited inline. 

Now Distribute Submittals After One Reviewer Response (1/17/2018) 

​​​​​Users can now distribute a submittal before all of the designated users on the submittal workflow have responded. Now, you can distribute a submittal after one (1) user submits a response. See Distribute a Submittal.

Updated "Set As Ball In Court Link" For New Workflow Groups (1/17/2018) 

Added the Number (#) column back to the Submittal Workflow table. The number will appears once per line item (a.k.a., submittal group). Also updated the label on a link from  'Set as Ball In Court' to "Set Group to Ball In Court" for added clarify. The 'Edit Response' link will still show up for each individual in the workflow group. 

New Submittals Workflow for Approvers in General Release (1/16/2018) 

Procore deployed a new submittal workflow model to provide your users with more flexibility when setting the approval path for a submittal. This deployment is complete and the new model prevents project users with 'Admin' level permission on the Submittals tool from having to specifically configure the tool to use sequential approval or parallel approval. The new submittal workflow table will be rolled out to all Procore accounts and will allow your users to create and edit submittals that use either sequential, parallel, or a combination of both approval models. New 'Include Sublocations' Option in Add Filter Drop-Down List (1/4/2018)

Updated the Submittals tool to add a new 'Include Sublocations' check box option in the secondary 'Add Filter' drop-down list for 'Locations'. See Search for and Filter Submittals

Procore has updated internationalized its onboarding experience so that its SMS/Text Message link now supports relevant country codes. This allows our customers in Australia, New Zealand, and other supported locations to access the download link to the Procore Mobile app in order to install it on a supported mobile device.
