Configure Connection Approval Settings

Objective

To configure settings to automatically approve initiated connections from provisioned collaborators or require a connection request be sent for review before manually approving or rejecting the project connection.

Background

Procore’s Project level Connection Manager tool allows you to create and manage project connections with other Procore accounts. See About Connectability.

Initially, you will be able to connect Drawings. When your projects are connected, drawings published in your project's Drawings tool are automatically copied to your collaborator's project. Users must have the same permissions to view drawings in your account to connect drawings to their project. In your company's Admin tool, you can choose to manually or automatically approve each connection to share drawings.

For all project connections, users with 'Admin' level permissions to the project's Connection Manager tool are notified and can disconnect projects at any time.

Things to Consider

  • Required Permissions
    • 'Admin' level permissions in the company's Admin tool.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.
  2. Under 'Tool Settings,' click Connection Manager.
  3. To automatically approve connections, mark the checkbox to 'Allow users with existing access to the Drawings tool to connect their project without Admin approval. (Recommended)'.
    OR
Clear the checkmark to require a connection request be sent for review before manually accepting or rejecting a project's request to connect.
  4. Click Save.
