- Navigate to your Budget Tool.
- Click on the Orange "Create a Budget Change" button located in the top right Corner.
- This will create a Budget Change for your project.
- Number is auto generated, but can be manually adjusted.
- Name your Budget Change, and provide a description.
- Input your adjustments.
- The first line in your adjustment is the full amount of the change. Each consecutive line supplements that information.
Example: Original Budget Amount: Drywall for $100,000
How to set up the Budget
Cost Code 9250
- Cost Type Other: $50,000
- Cost Type Subcontracts: $50,000
You buyout the drywall subcontractor for $70,000 and you also want to allocate $10,000 for Brinkmann Labor for general clean-up
Budget Change
- Move $20,000 from Cost Type Other to Cost Type Subcontracts
- Move $10,000 from Cost Type Other to Cost Type Labor
- Update Budgets
- 9250 - Other: $20,000
- 9250 - Subcontracts: $70,000
- 9250 - Other: $10,000
The main budget change screen will indicate if the change has synced with Vista (ERP)
When a Budget Change is created, it will automatically create a Change Event.
When the Budget Change is complete, ensure you update the Change Event status to "CLOSED".
