The user adding to the RFI's 'Assignee' list must first be designated as an 'Assignee' and must be the current Ball In Court person.
Users with 'Standard' level permission can only create or edit their RFIs in the 'Draft' status.
Users with 'Standard' level permission can only edit the custom reports that they create.
Users with 'Standard' level permission can reply to RFIs if they have been added as members of the RFI's distribution list.
When an RFI is marked 'Private', users with 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions can see the RFI only if they have (1) been added to the RFI's distribution list or (2) designated as an Assignee on the RFI, or if they have the 'View Private RFIs Associated to Users within Same Company' granular permission enabled on their permission template.
To create a Potential Change Order from an RFI, you must first complete the steps in Create an RFI, the prime contract must be in the 'Approved' status, the Change Events tool must be disabled on the project, and the Prime Contracts tool must be configured for two (2) or three (3) tier change orders. If the Change Events tool is enabled, follow the steps in Create a Change Event from an RFI instead.
Users with 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions on the RFIs tool AND 'Standard' level permissions or higher on the Instructions tool can create instructions from RFIs that they are Distribution List members or designated as an Assignee. See Create an Instruction from an RFI.
