The user adding to the RFI's 'Assignee' list must first be designated as an 'Assignee' and must be the current Ball In Court person.
Users with 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions on the project's RFIs tool with the 'Act as RFI Manager' granular permission enabled on their permissions template can perform this task for RFIs that they create ('Standard' only) or that they are designated as RFI Manager for. For more information about what tasks users with this granular permission enabled on their permissions template can perform, see What tasks does the RFI Manager granular permission allow users to perform?
To create a Potential Change Order from an RFI, you must first complete the steps in Create an RFI, the prime contract must be in the 'Approved' status, the Change Events tool must be disabled on the project, and the Prime Contracts tool must be configured for two (2) or three (3) tier change orders. If the Change Events tool is enabled, follow the steps in Create a Change Event from an RFI instead.
Users with 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions on the RFIs tool AND 'Standard' level permissions or higher on the Instructions tool can create instructions from RFIs that they have access to.
Users with 'Standard' level permission without the 'Act as RFI Manager' granular permission enabled on their permissions template can only create or edit their RFIs in the 'Draft' status.
Users with 'Standard' level permission can only edit the custom reports that they create.
Users must be designated as an Assignee for the RFI and be the current Ball In Court person to forward the RFI for review.
Users with 'Standard' level permission can reply to RFIs if they have been added as members of the RFI's distribution list.
Users may require specific roles on an RFI (or granular permissions) to view the RFI depending on the RFI's status and privacy settings. See View RFIs for details.
