Now that you have completed the initial foundational steps of your Start Strong Onboarding Program, it is time to move into the Operations Means and Methods.
INTRODUCTION TO PROCESSES

No. 3.pngTop 12 by Role:

WHAT: A grouping of key operating procedures that are important to your day-to-day operations.

WHY: There are a lot of processes, documents, and tools used at Brinkmann Constructors.  This list is an overview of key learning points per role. It is not all-inclusive of what you will experience during your career, but is considered a jumping off point for learning.

HOW: Top 12 by Role training is accomplished in multiple methods:

  1. Self-guided learning: Over your first few weeks, you should take the time to review the self-paced learning associated with your Top 12 by role.
    • Note: You may review them in any order; however, you should complete the corresponding session per each role prior to attending your small group session.
  2. Ambassador Check-In: Your ambassador will check in with you several times over your first 6-months. This is your time to ask questions about the self-paced content to gain a deeper understanding of the Top 12 by Role.
  3. Small Group Sessions: Attend the scheduled small group deep-dive sessions to gain a better understanding of the topic from current employees. Learn from leaders and peers within the company and share your insights.

Take the time necessary to fully understand the function of each. In some cases you may be learning about a topic that isn't immediately pertinent to your daily operations (example: learning about precon while your project is in the closeout stage).  The Top 12 by Role  training is intended to be accessed as frequently needed.  As your career progresses, and you find opportunities in your role, return to each topic for another round of more in-depth review until you feel fully comfortable with each. Your ambassador is there to help guide you through each step, so utilize their knowledge and experience.

NOTE: Use your Start Strong Book to track your progress through each item.  Ultimately reaching direct report sign-off once a full understanding all initiatives have been met.
