May 2026

Below are the notable changes to the Procore web application for the month of May 2026.

Recent Changes

Procore AI & Datagrid - Create and Edit Additional Procore Records (05/22/2026)

Datagrid now supports a broader range of agentic actions in Procore across workflows, including observations, incidents, action plans, RFIs, direct costs, invoices, punch items, correspondence, payment applications, commitment invoices, and more. When creating or updating Procore items, the system now prefills more fields based on your project context and provides clearer, user-friendly labels, such as showing the actual name of a custom field rather than technical placeholders like custom_field. In addition, dropdown options are more complete and required fields are easier to identify, reducing manual cleanup and helping you complete tasks accurately on the first try.

Procore Pay - Enhanced Procore Pay Beta Features for Improved Compliance Management (05/22/2026)

The Procore Pay New Features program within Procore Explore now includes advanced capabilities for tracking unconditional waivers and managing subcontractor payment readiness. The Procore Pay Beta Features update also introduces a new bulk action for requesting unconditional waivers, a "remind" action for lien waivers, and an updated Beneficiary Review screen for deeper visibility. Additionally, enhanced dashboard filters and a new payment readiness email feature are designed to help General Contractors efficiently identify and follow up on pay-ready invoices or outstanding compliance requirements.

Procore AI & Datagrid - Faster Response Times and Improved Accuracy (05/22/2026)

To provide more consistent answers, we optimized how our agents process your requests. By refining how the system selects tools and handles complex queries, you’ll find that the agent is more responsive, often requiring fewer follow-up prompts to get the result you need. These improvements are being phased into production rollouts and are especially impactful for Procore tasks, where some workflows are now performing up to 3x faster than before.

Procore AI & Datagrid - Smarter Fields in Action Panels (05/21/2026)

Refinements to the in-chat action panel experience make submitting and reviewing project updates more predictable when using Datagrid's Standalone AI and AI in the Procore sidepanel. RFI due dates now automatically follow "business-day" logic rather than simple calendar counts, resulting in more realistic deadlines and likely less manual correction. We also improved how fields behave within Drawing and Commitment workflows, so forms stay more aligned with the specific task at hand. Additionally, for workflows requiring manual approval, the system now reports status more reliably across all channels, avoiding "silent" or incomplete responses during the review process.

Procore AI & Datagrid - Enhanced Stability for Procore-Datagrid Connected Workflows (05/21/2026)

We’ve strengthened the connection between Datagrid and Procore to support greater robustness during high-frequency tasks. These updates specifically optimize attachment handling, context sharing, and authentication flows to reduce friction when moving data between systems. This gives a smoother, more dependable experience for teams managing complex project data across platforms.

Procore AI & Datagrid - New Credit Guardrails and Account Visibility (05/21/2026)

Managing your account resources is now more predictable with new guardrails and displays designed to keep your projects moving. Datagrid now automatically verifies your credit balance before launching larger tasks, such as high-volume file uploads. By checking your balance upfront, the system prevents these resource-heavy operations from starting if credits are insufficient, avoiding mid-task failures and project interruptions.

To help you plan with more certainty, the Manage Plan view now displays the calendar date your monthly credits will refresh. Your subscription plan name is also visible right inside the sidebar directly above your credit meter, making it easy to check your account type at a glance.

Datagrid - Smarter Invitations and Mass Permission Management (05/21/2026)

We refined the Datagrid standalone product's workspace management tools to make organizing large teams and shared resources simpler. Administrators can now utilize multi-select functionality to perform bulk role edits for team members, significantly accelerating the onboarding and permissions process. Additionally, Datagrid now prevents duplicate invitations to existing team members and provides more complete management options for shared Pages (including Rename, Duplicate, and Delete), helping your AI workspace remain organized and predictable.

Procore AI & Datagrid - Faster Data Syncing for AI Usage and Credit Reports (05/21/2026)

New synchronization enhancements within our reporting engine now provide even greater precision across your analytics dashboards. Dataset row counts reflect source changes more rapidly, so our AI can provide you with more consistent credit and activity summaries when auditing usage on large projects. These refinements improve data confidence and streamline the process of preparing updates on project health.

Procore AI & Datagrid - Smarter Request Routing (05/20/2026)

We refined Ask mode to keep it focused on retrieval and quick explanations while also having continuity when your conversation with AI shifts to more complex workflows. While all core functionality remains the same, your interactions are now more intuitive and tailored to your specific goal.

Procore AI & Datagrid - Improved Authentication Stability and Access Controls (05/20/2026)

We’ve strengthened our security framework to give administrators more precise control over how data is accessed by AI via the API. By refining how permissions are managed, you can now ensure every user and integration has the exact level of access they need. Additionally, we’ve improved our sign-in and session handling to be more dependable, significantly reducing unexpected timeouts and "session refresh" errors to keep your AI interactions active and interruption-free.

Document Management - Manual Placeholder Creation, Viewer Access, and Change History Updates (05/20/2026)

Procore has enhanced the Document Management tool to support manual creation of Placeholders directly from the uploads tab, providing an additional option to create one-off placeholders rather than requiring a bulk import for single items. This update also introduces the ability to duplicate placeholder rows to quickly create multiple items with similar attributes and provides the ability to view and open uploaded files in the Document Viewer before they are submitted. Additionally, the Change History for documents now captures specific placeholder events, including creation, file uploads into placeholders, status changes, and final submissions, providing a comprehensive audit trail for the entire document lifecycle.

Procore AI & Datagrid - Improved Stability and Upload Reliability (05/20/2026)

We made several platform updates to make Datagrid faster and more dependable, even during your busiest work hours. These improvements help the system better handle high volumes of data, specifically by automatically retrying and completing file uploads that might have previously stalled during peak activity. By strengthening our underlying infrastructure and proactive security measures, we’ve reduced the likelihood of technical disruptions, giving your team a more consistent and secure experience when managing large project files. These changes affect Datagrid Standalone and Datagrid AI in Procore.

Document Management - Auto-Apply Metadata for Subsequent Document Revisions (05/20/2026)

Procore has updated the Document Management tool to automate metadata syncing and improve team collaboration. With this release, the system now:

  • Inherits metadata automatically: New document versions instantly pull metadata from the latest revision of a matching document name.

  • Moves revisions dynamically: Relocates a revision to a different document record when the Name or Naming Standard fields are updated, triggering a confirmation modal and resyncing the metadata to the new target.

  • Expands placeholder access: Allows any member of the designated originator company with upload permissions to view and upload to company-assigned placeholders. This removes the restriction that limited access solely to the creator or assignee.

Procore AI & Datagrid - Extended API Tools for Teams Building Custom Agents (05/19/2026)

We extended our API capabilities to give technical teams more flexibility when connecting Datagrid to external tools. In addition to new support for public webhooks, we have exposed new API endpoints related to AI-driven document reviews. Our technical resources also have clearer guidance on file upload limits and model behaviors, providing a more straightforward path for developers to build automated, high-confidence workflows.

Improved Visibility of Workflow Template Tool Type (05/19/2026)

Procore added a new Type column to the Workflow Template Management page to clearly show which tool type each workflow template was assigned to. To learn more, see Search and Filter Workflow Templates.

Procore Pay - Waiver eNotarization with OneNotary Generally Available (05/19/2026)

Following a successful Beta, Procore Pay now includes eNotarization for lien waiver documents through the OneNotary integration, which is available for all Procore Pay users. This feature is designed to help users manage the execution of lien waivers via in-person or remote online notary services. To configure this feature, navigate to the Company-level Payments tool and enable eNotarization within the Lien Waiver settings.

Procore Explore Early Access Stage Pill and Filter (05/19/2026)

Procore introduced a new “Early Access” program and Product Lifecycle stage in Procore Explore to help Company Admins access GA-quality improvements sooner. Procore Explore Early Access displays a new status pill on feature cards and in the detail panel, and added an “Early Access” option to the global filter so Company Admins could quickly isolate these features. To learn more, see Manage Features With Procore Explore.

Maps - Persisted Map Filters for Improved User Experience (05/19/2026)

Procore has enhanced the general Procore Maps tool (Web) with persisted map filters. Maps now support your geofence and in-view map filters. When you refresh the browser or navigate away and return, the map automatically re-centers and zooms back to the exact area and filters you were using, instead of resetting to the default view.

Previously, getting the map into the right view involved multiple clicks, and the data was lost every time you refreshed or moved between tools. Persisted map filters save time, reduce repetitive setup, and keep users focused on the locations that matter most, improving day‑to‑day navigation across projects. This enhancement applies to workflows that rely on geofencing or filtering map objects to specific in‑view areas. See Filter the Map.

Assets - Company Level (Beta) (05/19/2026)

Procore has launched Company Level Assets to eliminate data fragmentation by providing a master register for your entire asset portfolio, delivering real-time visibility from initial specification through final handover to help you achieve the right project delivery outcomes. This feature can be enabled by Company Admins via Procore Explore.

  • Centralized Single Source of Truth: Gain a holistic view of all planned and installed assets across your company to eliminate tracking challenges, mitigate risks, and reduce costs.

  • Strategic Project Planning: Effectively plan and seamlessly allocate company level assets to specific projects exactly when they are needed based on project schedules.

  • Connected Data: Create a continuous digital thread by linking critical documentation (like O&M manuals and specs from Company Documents) directly to the asset record.

  • Bulk Actions & API Extensibility: Easily create and manage your register using bulk imports/exports, or leverage our APIs to build custom integrations tailored to your existing workflows.

To learn more, see Assets Admin Setup Guide and Assets - Company Level (Beta).

Procore Pay - Subcontractor Pay Readiness Email Notifications Streamline Payment Processes (05/19/2026)

To accelerate your payment workflows, you can now quickly follow up with subcontractors regarding missing requirements using Subcontractor Pay Readiness email notifications. Designed to reduce manual outreach and quickly get subcontractors into a payable state, this feature allows users to trigger notifications directly from the Pay Dashboard or within individual invoices to clearly communicate what is needed for an invoice to be paid. By providing real-time visibility into missing requirements, this feature helps you assist subcontractors in meeting specific compliance and billing standards, aimed at reducing manual delays and supporting a more efficient invoicing cycle. This feature can be enabled by Company Admins via Procore Explore in the Procore Pay Beta.
