Upload Photos to the Daily Log

To upload photos to the Photos section of the Daily Log tool.


The Photos section allows you to upload photos associated with your Daily Log. This is a great place to aggregate progress photos of the jobsite for that day. 

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions on the project's Daily Log tool.
      'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions on the project's Photos tool.
  • Additional Information:
    • If the project's Photos tool has photos set to Private by default, you will not be able to upload photos to the Photos section of the Daily Log. This setting can be changed by a Project Admin. See Configure Advanced Settings: Photos.


  1. Navigate to the project's Daily Log tool.
  2. Scroll to the Photos section.
  3. Click Upload.
  4. Enter the following information in the Upload modal:
    • Attach File(s): Click Attach File(s) to select a photo from your computer, or drag-and-drop the photo from your computer to the gray area designated by Drag and Drop
      Note: Only the following file types are supported: .jpg, .jpeg, .tif, .tiff, .gif, .png, .x-png, .bmp

    • Date: This field will automatically populate with the dates that the photos were taken. If capture information was not recorded when the photo was taken, the photos will default to today's date.

    • LocationSelect or enter a location from the Location drop-down menu.
      Note: You have the option to select an existing location from the list, or you can add a multi-tiered location to an item.

    • Album: Select the album where you want the photos to appear in your project's Photos tool. By default, the album called "Photos from Daily Log" is selected. 

    • Trade: Select the trade associated with the entry from the drop-down menu. You can only select from the trades already added to the project. See Add a Custom Trade.

  5. Click Upload Photos.
