Email Punch Items to Any User

To email punch list items to any user to provide visibility.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: 
    • 'Admin' permissions on the project's Punch List tool.
      Note: 'Read Only' level users cannot be assigned to a punch list list item.
    • 'Standard' permissions on the project's Punch List tool for users who are listed as Default Punch Item Managers in the Punch List configuration settings, see Configure Advance Settings: Punch List
  • Additional Information:
    • The punch list item must have already been created and saved before it can be sent.


  1. Navigate to your project's Punch List tool.
  2. Click View next to the item you want to email.
  3. Click the Email tab under the punch list item's title.
  4. Click New Email.
  5. Enter the relevant information into the email template. 
  6. Click Send.
    ​​​​​​Note: The individual included in the 'To' field will receive an email alerting them of the item and its details.
