Below are notable changes for the Procore web application for the week ending Friday, November 13, 2020.

Platform

Procore Search

'Comments' Field Added to Preview for Daily Log Search Results

The 'Comments' field for Daily Log entries has been added to Preview pane that appears when viewing search results for the Daily Log tool. This helps provide additional context for Daily Log entries so that you can find the items you are looking for more easily. See Search for Items Within a Project Using Procore Search.

Submittals 'Description' field is Now Searchable Using Procore Search

Procore Search can now search the 'Description' field for the Submittals tool, making it even easier to find relevant submittals. See What information is searchable using Procore Search?

Core Tools

Admin

Added 'Contracts' Under 'Tool Settings'

Procore has updated the 'Tool Settings' section of the right sidebar in the Company level Admin tool to add a link to a new 'Contracts' page. The 'Lock Schedule of Values and Contract Company when Commitment Contract is Approved or Completed' checkbox has been moved from the 'Cost Types' page to the 'Contracts' page and continues to be disabled by default. This move is an early step to prepare for future contract settings that will be available in Procore. See Update the Tool Settings for Contracts.

Reports

New Project Roles Custom Report

Procore released a new report called the Project Roles report. This report allows users to report on projects, users, and users' roles on projects. Users with the appropriate permissions can run this report in both the Project and Company level Reports tools to easily identify who has been assigned which role on one or more projects. See Create a Custom Project Report and Create a Custom Company Report.

Preconstruction

No notable changes.

Project Management

Drawings

Create New Coordination Issues on Drawing Markups

As an expansion to the previous release that allowed existing coordination issues to be linked to all drawing markup types, you can now create new coordination issues on drawing markups. See Create or Link Coordination Issues on a Drawing. The coordination issue creation experience has been moved to a right side panel, preserving a complete view of the underlying drawing. After creating a new coordination issue on a drawing markup, publish the markup to ensure collaborators can view the associated coordination issue on the drawing. The coordination issue will include a snapshot of the marked-up drawing area, and a hyperlink to the drawing will automatically be added to the coordination issue for easy reference.

Submittals

'Description' Field Now Searchable in Submittals

When a user enters a word or phrase to search for submittals, the search results now include submittals with matching results in their 'Description' fields. See Search for and Filter Submittals.

Financial Management

No notable changes.

Resource Management

Timesheets

Apply Rounding Rules to Employee Timesheets

Procore has updated the Company level Timesheets tool to provide you with the ability to set a rounding rule for use with time entries. Users with 'Admin' level permissions on the Company Timesheets tool can now set a rounding rule by marking the new 'Rounding on Timecards' checkbox in the Configure Settings page. This setting also lets you set a 'Time Increment' and the 'Rounding Direction.' To learn more about these options, see Set the Rounding Rule for Your Company Timesheets.
