Update the Tool Settings for Contracts
Objective
To update the advanced settings in the Contracts page of the Company Admin tool.
Background
The Contracts page provides your company's Procore Administrator with the ability to configure your company's account-wide preferences for the Commitments tool. When you update these preferences, your changes affect all projects in your company's Procore account.

- 'Admin' level permissions on the Company Admin tool.
- Additional Information:
- Any changes affect all projects in your company's Procore account.
Steps
- Navigate to the Company Admin tool.
- Under Tool Settings, click Contracts.
- Click the Contracts Settings tab.
- Optional: Update the selections for the Restrict Edits to the Schedule of Values and Contract Company for the Following Objects Unless They Have a Status of Draft or Out for Bid setting. If this setting is turned on for Prime Contracts or Commitments, edits to the Schedule of Values (SOV) and Contract Company will be restricted once a contract moves beyond the 'Draft' or 'Out for Bid' status.
Note: If the project setting 'Always Editable Schedule of Values' is enabled, SOV edits will NOT be restricted, regardless of the Prime Contract or Commitment status. - Click the Change Orders Settings tab.
- Optional: Update the selections for the Restrict Edits to the Schedule of Values for the Following Objects Unless They Have a Status of Draft setting. This setting prevents users from editing a Change Order’s SOV and the addition or removal of Potential Change Orders of any status to two-tiered Change Orders not in the ‘Draft’ status.
