Update the Tool Settings for Contracts

Objective

To update the advanced settings in the Contracts page of the Company Admin tool. 

Background

The Contracts page provides your company's Procore Administrator with the ability to configure your company's account-wide preferences for the Commitments tool. When you update these preferences, your changes affect all projects in your company's Procore account. 

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'Admin' level permissions on the Company Admin tool. 
  • Additional Information:
    • Any changes affect all projects in your company's Procore account. 

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Company Admin tool. 
  2. Under Tool Settings, click Contracts.
  3. Under the Commitment Settings tab, do the following:
    • Optional: To ensure that your project users don't edit the designated 'Contract Company' and/or line items in the 'Schedule of Values (SOV)' on an 'Approved' or 'Complete' purchase order or subcontract, mark the Lock Schedule of Values and Contract Company when Commitment Contract is Approved or Completed checkbox.
       Notes
      • This setting is turned OFF on all new Procore company accounts by default. 

      • When turned ON, this setting applies to all projects in your Procore company account.

  4.  Click Save
