Delete Drawings

Objective

To delete drawing revisions from the Project level Drawings tool.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'Admin' permissions on the Drawings tool.
  • Additional Information:
    • When you delete a drawing from your project, you cannot restore it from the Deleted Drawings area to your drawings log. Deleted drawings can be accessed and downloaded, then uploaded again if a drawing is accidentally deleted and needs to be added back to a drawing set. This way of handling deleted drawings protects your current set of drawings from being inadvertently overwritten by an older, previously deleted revision.

Steps

Delete an Individual Drawing

  1. Navigate to the project's Drawings tool.
  2. Click the Info button next to the drawing you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete Revision
  4. Confirm the deletion.
Note: You will be directed to the next most recent revision or Drawings log page.

Delete Multiple Drawings

  1. Navigate to the project's Drawings tool.
  2. Mark the checkboxes next to the drawings or discipline(s) you want to delete, or mark the topmost checkbox to select all the drawings in the set.
  3. Click the Delete to delete the revisions of the drawings you have selected.
     Important

Clicking Delete removes revisions within your currently viewed set. Before deleting, check the 'Revision' and 'Set' columns to see which set you are viewing. Deleting in the current set removes the latest drawing revision, making the next most recent revision the new 'current' drawing. Deleting a revision in an older set simply removes it from the 'Revisions' section when viewing a drawing.

  4. Click Continue to confirm.
