Reactivate a User in the Company Directory


To reactivate a user that was previously inactivated in a Procore account so that they can once again log in to a Procore account and access company-specific information.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
    • To perform the steps below, 'Admin' level permissions on the Company Directory.
    • If you have 'Admin' level permissions on the Project level Directory tool, you can achieve the same result by following these steps: Reactivate a User in the Project Directory

      Important! It does NOT matter whether the user account reactivation task is completed by a Procore Administrator on the Company Directory or by a user with 'Admin' level permission on the Project Directory. The reactivation steps at both levels have the same result--the user account is reactivated in the Company Directory and project access permission is reinstated in all Project Directories to which the user had previously been granted access.

  1. Navigate to the company's Directory tool.
    This reveals the Company Directory page. 
  2. Click the Inactive Users tab.
    This reveals a list of user accounts that have been deactivated in your company's Procore account.
  3. Locate the desired user in the Inactive Users list. Then click Reactivate.
    The system restores the user's account to the Users tab of Company Directory. 
    Note: Access permissions to any project to which the user account was added (at the time the user was deactivated) are also restored.
