Who can view a 'Draft' RFI?

Answer

An RFI in the 'Draft' state can only be viewed by a limited number of people.

If You Mark an RFI as a 'Draft'

If the 'Draft' RFI was created by a user with 'Standard' level permission, it is only visible to users with:

If the 'Draft' RFI was created by a user with 'Admin' level permission, it is only visible to users with:

  • 'Admin' level permission on the RFIs tool. 
  • The person designated as the RFI Manager.

Note: Users who are designated as the RFI's 'Assignee' or who have been added as a member of its 'Distribution List' will not be able to view the 'Draft' RFI until it is marked 'Open'. See Edit an RFI.

If You Mark an RFI as 'Private'

If you want make an 'Open' or 'Draft' RFI private, place a checkmark in the Private box on the Create or Edit RFI form. When an RFI is in the 'Private' state, it can only be viewed by the following users:

  • Users with 'Admin' level permission on the RFIs tool. 
  • The creator of the RFI.
  • The person designated as the RFI Manager.
