FAQ

 In Beta
The following document describes functionality that is currently in a beta phase of its release. See Action Plans: (Coming Soon!) New Project Level Action Plans Tool for more information.
What is a Plan Manager?

The Plan Manager of an individual action plan is responsible for overseeing all stages of the action plan throughout its cycle. Only users with 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Action Plans tool can be selected as a Plan Manager so that they can edit the action plan at any stage in order to make any necessary changes.

What is an Action Plan Approver?

Action Plan Approvers sign-off on the action plan in the step between creating an action plan and performing an action plan. Once the action plan is created, the Action Plan Approvers review and sign the action plan. The Action Plan Approvers tend to be representatives from key stakeholders in a project, such as Owner, Subcontractor, and General Contractor. After the Action Plan Approvers approve the action plan, the responsible parties can proceed with performing the action plan. See  Approve an Action Plan to be Performed.

What is a Completed Action Plan Receiver?

Completed Action Plan Receivers sign-off on the action plan in the final step in the action plan's cycle. After the action plan is performed, the Completed Action Plan Receivers review and sign the completed action plan. The Completed Action Plan Receivers tend to be representatives from key stakeholders in a project, such as Owner, Subcontractor, and General Contractor. See Sign a Completed Action Plan.

When does an action plan shift to 'Edit' mode?

After the action plan's general information has been added and the action plan has been saved, the action plan shifts into 'Edit' mode. See Create an Action Plan: Add General Information.  An action plan that has already been fully created also shifts into 'Edit' mode if a user with 'Admin' level permissions on the Action Plans tool is editing the action plan. See Edit an Action Plan.

When does an action plan shift to 'View' mode?

After the action plan's sections and items have been added or updated, the action plan shifts into 'View' mode. See Create an Action Plan: Add Sections and Items.
