What is the difference between copy and duplicate with drawing markups?
Answer
When you select a markup in a drawing in Procore, a menu appears so you can link, delete, copy, duplicate, etc. Or you can use keyboard shortcuts. Learn the differences between copying and duplicating a markup:
Copy: Saves the markup to your clipboard so you can paste it into a different drawing. After clicking Copy, navigate to another drawing, press CONTROL / COMMAND + V on your keyboard, and if the two drawings have the same dimensions, the markup will automatically paste to the same coordinates as the original drawing. You can move the markup's location as desired. Once you publish the markup, collaborators can see the copied markup too.
Duplicate: Creates a duplicate of the markup(s) and pastes it near the original in the same drawing. The duplicated markup is auto-selected so you can move it to the desired location within the drawing. With a single click, you can duplicate a markup. Once you publish the duplicated markup, collaborators can see it too.
Linked items can be copied or duplicated too, with the exception of calibration measurement markups. Selecting more than one markup at a time allows you to take these actions in bulk. Learn more about editing markups.
