Export RFIs to CSV or PDF

The RFIs tool lets you export the records in your project's RFIs tool to two (2) file formats: CSV or PDF. You also have the choice between exporting the entire RFI list for a project or exporting the information in a single RFI.
Note: If you want to view the official response and/or any replies for all of your project's RFIs (formerly, the RFIs Question and Responses Report), choose Export > PDF - All Responses when following the steps below.

  • If you want to view the official response and/or any replies to an RFI, you must Export an RFI to PDF.
  • If you want to download all of the RFIs for a project, users with the appropriate permissions can extract the RFI information using the Project level Admin tool. See Extract Project Information. 
  • If you apply one or more options in the 'Filter RFIs By' menu to narrow the data appearing in the log, the data in the exported file will also reflect the selected filters.
  • The exported PDF always includes all available columns. It does NOT reflect any customizations to the column display. 
  1. Navigate to the project's RFIs tool.
    This reveals the RFIs page. 
    Notes:
    • If you apply one or more options in the 'Filter RFIs By' menu to narrow the data appearing in the log, the data in the exported file will also reflect the selected filters.
    • The exported PDF always includes all available columns. It does NOT reflect any customizations to the column display. See Customize the Column Display in the RFIs Tool.
  2. Click one of these options:
    • Export > PDF - All Responses
      Downloads a PDF that include all replies to the RFI. This includes all the RFIs Questions and Responses in the export file. 
    • Export > PDF - Official Only
      Downloads a PDF that includes only the official response to the RFI. See Choose an "Official Response" for an RFI.
    • Export > PDF
      Downloads a PDF of the current list with any active filters applied.
    • Export > CSV
      Click this button to download a summary list of all the RFIs in the project to a single CSV file.
      (Notes:
      • The PDF file summarizes all of the RFI records that match the filters set in the 'Filter RFIs By' menu. Each RFI line item includes these data columns: #, Subject, Status, Responsible Contractor, Assignee, Date Initiated, RFI Manager, Due Date, Closed Date, Ball In Court, Location, Schedule Impact Days, Cost Code, Cost Impact and Received From.

      • The CSV file provides a list that summarizes all of the RFI records that match the filters selected in the 'Filter RFIs By' menu. Each RFI line item includes these data columns: #, Created By, Initiated At, RFI Manager, Assigned, Due Date, Subject, Responsible Contractor, Received From, Cost Impact, Cost Impact Value, Schedule Impact, Schedule Impact Value, Drawing Number, Reference, Closed Date, Cost Code, Location, Closed?, Ball In Court, Latest Assignee Response Date, and Private.
