Construction Education

This video-based student tutorial course teaches students the basics of Procore and how to utilize the software’s most common tools. After passing a final test, students can post their certificates of completion to their LinkedIn profile simply by entering the page’s URL. More advanced students can also take a variety of other role-based certifications, and all of the courses are accessible free and on-demand (students do not need to have access to a Procore account to take them).

Procore.org has created an interactive 3-part course series designed for students entitled “Construction 101,” where students learn the fundamentals of construction:

• Construction Project Roles & Responsibilities (Part 1) - This course explores the roles and responsibilities of each construction project stakeholder and the ways in which they work together to deliver a project safely, on time, and on budget.

• Construction Project Phases (Part 2) - This course describes the three basic phases of a construction project from planning to closeout and explores the processes and common practices that exist in each project phase.

• Construction Industry Sectors (Part 3) - This course takes a deep-dive into the 5 primary sectors of construction, and describes the different types of structures that are built in each sector.

"Data in Construction" is a 5-part series on the importance of data in the construction process:

• Introduction to Data (Part 1) - This course examines what “data” means and what data are collected throughout the construction process - and ultimately, how this data helps us. 
• Collecting and Analyzing Data (Part 2) - This course looks at some of the most important ways in which you can work with data and focus on how these practices illustrate data’s potential to drastically improve life on the job site.
• Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (Part 3) - This course explores machine learning and AI, and helps students understand what each promises and what limitations exist. 
• Data on the Jobsite (Part 4) - This course dives into the steps that can be taken to begin to take inventory of data and turn pain points into policy.
• Data into the Future (Part 5) - This course takes a closer look at cutting edge tech like drones, BIM, virtual and augmented reality and how they play a role in the workflows that promise to help us build better, more safely, and in real-time. 

Procore's Continuing Education Courses

Procore has more than 90 continuing education courses available on topics such as leveraging data and analytics in construction, green building, health and safety on the jobsite, and more. These courses are available for free and are accredited by the American Institute of Architecture and other organizations as being eligible for continuing education credit (learn more here).
