Weekly Superintendent Checklist

Document Intention:

After receiving some feedback from field staff, I realized that there was some confusion as to the amount and types of implementations that we have pushed out in the recent months. This document will outline exactly what P&C office staff is asking for, and when each item is expected to be completed by. If you have feedback regarding the contents or volume of this list, please contact Arceo Primero and let him know any concerns or comments you might have.

NOTICE: The numbered responsibilities can be clicked to take you to the training material for that subject.

Daily Responsibilities:

  1. Submit a quality daily log (every day).
  • These past few weeks and months I’ve been calling around and hopefully addressing questions regarding “quality” of the daily log and in general, pretty much everyone is doing great. I will outline some of the main ideas again here for your convenience:
    • Daily log is submitted the same day it reports on.
    • There is an appropriate “manpower” entry.
    • There is an appropriate “notes” entry.
    • There is an appropriate “equipment” entry that lists the tools and equipment used that day.
    • Information that can go in other sections (delays, visitors, phone calls etc.) is recorded in the logical section it fits into.
    • The state of the jobsite is documented with an appropriate number of pictures with multiple angles of work accomplished (even if the jobsite is rained out).

Weekly Responsibilities:

  1. Submit a Toolbox Talk in the “tasks” tool (due on Fridays).
  • Toolbox talks should be attached to the task that is assigned to you for that week, not the daily log.
  • A picture of the sign sheet is acceptable if there is a descriptive title of the safety talk you discussed with the subs.
  1. Add a “2-week Lookahead” (once a week).
  • In one of your notes entries in the daily log, give a description of the work to be accomplish in the following weeks and any delays or jobsite events that might hinder those processes (does not need to be added on multiple note entries, just fill out the field on one entry).
  1. Complete a “Job Site Safety Audit” (preferably due on the same day you submit your Toolbox talk).
  • Previously on “Intranet” this weekly safety audit can now be completed in the “inspections tool” in Procore.
  • All fields are answered (Yes/No/NA).
  • The "Status" has been changed from "Initiated" to "In Review".
