Getting Started
Objective
This section will cover the steps you'll need to take prior to completing your first capture. Before getting started there are steps you must complete (hardware procurement, project setup, drawing upload and user creation, e.g.) before you can begin documenting you jobsite.
Steps
- Set Up Project
- email sitecaptures@kastbuild.com to have project created in DroneDeploy
- Accept Your Invite to the Organization
- Check your email inbox for an invitation to your company’s organization in DroneDeploy (check your spam folder if you do not see an invitation)
- Note: If you invite someone to join a project who does not have an account, and is not part of the organization, have your DroneDeploy Admin send them an invite to the organization as well. Users added only through a project invite link will not be part of the organization.
- Purchase Hardware

- Navigate to your Project
- If you have never captured your site before, or your site already exists but you need access, email sitecaptures@kastbuild.com for assistance
- Once added to your project, you can access it at https://www.dronedeploy.com/app2/projects. Bookmark this page.
- Add drawings to your project

- Download the Insta 360 and DroneDeploy Ground Apps on your Mobile Device
- Note: You'll need to create an account with Insta360 using your KAST email address, then connect your camera. The app will walk you through the steps to connect.
