This research area focuses on the environmental, economic, and social impacts of construction projects during their life cycle and alleviating the impacts of the built environment on the supporting ecosystem(s). This research area also aims to better understand how current and future communities’ infrastructure can adapt and evolve into configurations that are more resilient to both natural and human-made disasters.
