Add Comments to Punch List Items

Objective

To add comments to punch list items.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission: 
    • 'Admin' level users on the project's Punch List tool.
      OR
    • 'Standard' level users who are listed as the item's Creator, Punch List Manager, or Final Approver.
      OR
    • Members listed on the item's distribution list or who have been granted the granular permission "Respond to Punch List Items Assigned to Users Within the Same Company." See "Grant Granular Permissions in a Permissions Template" in the See Also section below.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Punch List tool.
  2. Click View next to the item to which you want to add a comment.

Add Comments from the Comments subtab

  1. Click the Comments subtab.
  2. Enter your desired comment in the text box.
  3. Optional: To add photos or files, click Attach File(s) or drag and drop images directly into the gray Drag and Drop File(s) section.
  4. Click Post Comment.

Add Comments from the Activity Feed

  1. Under the 'Activity' section, click +Comment.

  2. Enter a comment in to the text box.
  3. Click Submit.
