Procore's Equipment tool ensures all machines are optimally used and effectively managed from arrival to departure. The project's Equipment tool shows what equipment has been assigned to your project and is available for use in the project's Timesheets, Inspections, and Budget tools.

Granular Permissions Available (03/18/2026) 

Granular permissions are now available for the Equipment tool, empowering customers to control critical actions such as updating equipment status, managing project check-ins, and recording rentals while restricting sensitive actions like creating owned equipment records. telematics generally available (01/22/2026)

Equipment Telematics is now generally available. Sync your equipment data to Procore to get a clear view of your assets. This integration provides real-time location and helps you power workflows, speed up field reporting, onboard equipment faster, and eliminate data silos. iMPROVED ABILITY TO REMOVE FROM EQUIPMENT FROM PROJECTS (12/16/2025)

A new workflow lets teams easily remove equipment from project registers, keeping a clear record of what's active. See Remove Equipment from Projects.

CREATE INCIDENTS WITH EQUIPMENT (11/19/2025) 

When adding records to incidents, the 'Equipment' field now pulls in equipment records from the Project level Equipment tool. See Create an Incident.

Create and Edit Equipment Records on Mobile (08/19/2025)

Users can now create equipment records using the Procore iOS or Android mobile app. See Create an Equipment Record (iOS)Edit an Equipment Record (iOS), and Create an Equipment Record (Android)Edit an Equipment Record (Android).

Improved Project and Vendor Assignment (04/22/2025)

The ‘Current Project' column has been updated to ‘Onsite’ and you can now mark single or multiple equipment records on site. When adding equipment to a project on mobile, you can mark equipment as onsite. Additionally, you can associate rented or subcontracted equipment with vendor in your Company level Directory. Equipment Custom Statuses (04/22/2025)

Customers can define custom equipment statuses, enhancing workflow management for tasks such as maintenance, rentals, check-ins, check-outs, and equipment call-offs. Additionally, you can now edit the ‘Status' and ‘Onsite’ fields directly inline the Equipment registry. See Configure Custom Statuses for Equipment and Edit Project Equipment.

Create Timesheets for Equipment Only (04/07/2025)

You can now create timesheets for equipment without linking the equipment to a person. This is currently available on web and will be available soon on iOS and Android. See Create a Timesheet.

New Equipment Tool Generally Available (01/07/2025) 

Procore's new Equipment tool ensures all machines are optimally used and effectively managed from arrival to departure. The Equipment tool enables you to build a registry of your company's owned or rented equipment for your job sites. When equipment is checked in or assigned to projects, it’s added to the Project's Equipment tool for use in Inspections, T&M Tickets, Timesheets, and the Budget. See Project Equipment to learn more.

Create Equipment Records in the Project's Equipment Tool (11/21/2024)

You can create new equipment records in the project's equipment tool. Equipment records created in the project's tool are automatically added to the company's Equipment tool. See Create an Equipment Record in the Project Equipment Tool.

Check in Equipment on a Job Site (11/13/2024)

You can check in equipment for a project using the mobile app. After checking in, the equipment's record is added to the project's Equipment tool and the 'current project' field in the company's Equipment tool is updated to reflect the project where it was checked in. Procore's new Equipment tool ensures all machines are optimally used and effectively managed from arrival to departure. The company's Equipment tool is a registry of your company's owned or rented equipment for your job sites. When equipment is assigned to projects, it is added to the Project's Equipment tool where it can be used in Inspections, Timesheets, and your Budget. See Project Equipment to learn more.
