(Beta) About the Project Status Snapshots Tab
Objective
To learn about the Project Status Snapshots tab in the Project level Budget tool.
Background
If you maintain a project's budget in Procore, you can record how your budget changes over time. The Project Status Snapshot feature lets you create a snapshot of the budget tab in its current state. You might want to create a snapshot at the end of each month or after you update your budget.
Snapshots allow you to review older versions to analyze changes and how data was affected. Snapshots are also useful for forecasting and reporting. For example, if the forecasted 'Projected Over/Under' amount changes unexpectedly between two snapshots, you can perform a detailed comparative analysis to determine the reason for the change.
You can use the Project Status Snapshot list as a comprehensive view of all the Project Status Snapshots that have been taken over the life of the project.
You can also:
-
Analyze variances between snapshots by clicking the square icon in each column.
-
View all of the columns in the Budget view for the Project Status Snapshot, including the snapshot name, creator, creation date, and status. This type of view allows you to easily see how any data point in your Budget is changing over time.
-
Change the status of a Project Status Snapshot to track its approval progress.
-
Export the list view data to a CSV file for offline access.
-
Configure the columns that appear in the list view. This type of view allows you to easily see how any data point in your Budget is changing over time.
