Batch Enter Missing Project Information

Objective

Batch enter missing project dates and project types on ongoing and previous projects to improve the quality and quantity of insights on your projects.

Background

Procore Insights allows users to compare their general conditions burndown to benchmarks from previous projects. To see a benchmark, a project must have at least two previous projects that meet data requirements and are of the same project type and in the same budget range as the project in question.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • ‘Admin’ level permissions on the company admin tool to batch enter missing project information.

Prerequisites

  • Must be a current participant in the Procore Insights pilot.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Account Home. The general condition insights card is displayed in the right side panel.
  2. Click View all projects.
  3. Click Unlock Insights located in the upper right, below the support and feedback buttons.
  4. To view each project that is missing information, expand a grouping of projects.
    • Groupings are based on project type that may already be known.
    • If no project type is chosen, projects are grouped in an “Unknown” category. 
  5. To enter missing information on a particular project, select that project.
  6. Enter or update actual start date, projected finish date, and project type as needed.
  7. Navigate through projects using the next and previous arrows.
  8. Click Save all.
  9. See how many projects have gained insights and how many projects are remaining with missing information.
