Group Multiple Vendor Offices in the Company Directory

Procore is pleased to announce the upcoming start of the Multiple Vendor Office (MVO) limited beta program, which is an update to the Company and Project level Directory tool specifically designed to help your construction business manage vendor records for subcontractors and suppliers with multiple office locations. For example, your organization might need to manage vendor records for a concrete contractor that operates in multiple U.S. States (e.g., 'MVO Concrete' who has its headquarters in California and two (2) satellite offices in Arizona and Nevada). 

In the initial release for the beta program, you can now select a vendor record as a main office and then group existing vendor records as company locations. This associates the record for those company locations with the record for the main office. You can also associate the contacts and employees for that vendor with the appropriate location. This is useful when you work with vendors who do business on multiple projects with the specific business they operate in different cities, states, or regions. This update also lays the groundwork for additional enhancements that are planned to be released in the future. The planned enhancements currently include:

  • Additional dialog box messages and success banners to enhance ease of use.

  • A new Doing Business As (DBA) field which is planned to be available for use with all vendor records.

  • The ability to copy attributes from a Main Office to its Locations (e.g., DBA, EIN, Bidding Info, etc).

  • And more to come…
