Setting Up the WeatherBuild Station Integration in Procore

Here are the steps that you must complete to in order to successfully set up and integrate WeatherBuild Station with Procore. The process involves adding one or more stations to your WeatherBuild project, adding station dashboard displays, getting an embed link, and using that embed link to create a Project Link on your Project Home page in Procore.

Note that you must have an active WeatherBuild account and have a WeatherBuild project set up in WeatherBuild Web. In addition, you must have Project Admin permissions in WeatherBuild Web in order to complete the integration.

Step 1: Add one or more WeatherBuild Stations to your WeatherBuild project

  1. In WeatherBuild Web, navigate to the Stations View and click + Add a Station.
  2. Enter a Station Name (required).
  3. Select a Station Type and Station Sub Type. (For the PWS Personal Weather Station Network, Station Type = The Weather Company.)
  4. Enter a Station Key. (For the PWS Personal Weather Station Network, Station Key = PWS Weather Station ID.)
  5. Enter the Street Address and Location (Latitude/Longitude) of the weather station.
  6. Toggle on Log Actual Data (recommended).
  7. Upload a Station Avatar (260 x 260 pixels) for the map and display (nice-to-have).
  8. Click Save Station.

Step 2: Add weather station dashboard displays

  1. In WeatherBuild Web, navigate to the Dashboard View and click the Gear Icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Select the dashboard displays for your project.
  3. Drag the rows up or down to reorder the dashboard displays as required.
  4. Click Save Dashboard.

Step 3: Get a station display embed link from WeatherBuild Web

  • Embed links are unique for each project, and cannot be shared across projects.
  • WeatherBuild supports and recommends the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari.
  • WeatherBuild does not support Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer at this time.
  • Please contact WeatherBuild Support at support@weather.build if you require further assistance.
Option A: Get an embed link for a single weather station dashboard display

In Google Chrome...

  1. Right click on the relevant weather station dashboard display.
  2. Choose View Frame Source.
  3. Copy the part of the address starting with https:// from your browser’s address bar.

In Mozilla Firefox…

  • Right click on the relevant weather station dashboard display.
  • Choose This Frame, Open Frame in New Window.
  • Copy the address in the new window of your browser’s address bar.

In Apple Safari…

  • Right click on the relevant weather station dashboard display.
  •  Choose Open Frame in New Window.
  • Copy the address in the new window of your browser’s address bar.
Option B: Get an embed link for a full screen dashboard of many weather station displays

In Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari…

  1. Click the </> icon in the upper right corner of WeatherBuild Web, Dashboard view.
  2. Copy the address from your browser’s address bar.

Step 4: Create a Project Link in Procore using the embed link

  1. Log in to Procore and navigate to the Project Home view.
  2. Select PROJECT LINKS, + New.
  3. Enter a Link Title (e.g., Station Now, same as the WeatherBuild dashboard display).
  4. Enter a Link URL. Paste in the embed link address that you copied in the previous step.
  5. Click Save.
