Edit an Observation (Okland)

Objective

To edit the pre-loaded information for the High Risk Features of Work within the Observations tool.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: 'Admin' level permissions on the Project level Observations tool.
  • All Pre-Loaded Observations are defaulted without an assignee, no notification will be sent. If you edit the observation, add an assignee, and save, an email notification will be sent automatically.
  • It is up to the Project Manager to decide which Features of Work are applicable to your specific project. These default 17 can be deleted, modified, and added to, depending on the project's specific needs.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Project level Observations tool.
  2. Filter by Type and select "High Risk FOW - Pre-Install Meeting" & "High Risk FOW - Initial Inspection"
  3. Click Edit next to the observation you wish to edit.
  4. Change any editable field, as desired. (Note: See Create an Observation for adding new Features of Work & Deleting an Observation for removing un-applicable FOW.)
    Note: If you attempt to edit the Number field with a number that is assigned to an existing observation, you will receive a warning message upon clicking Update. You will not be able to update the observation until you select an unused number.
  5. Field Descriptions:
    1. Type: Pre-Loaded 2 for each High Risk Feature of Work.
    2. Title: Edit based on Project Specific Needs.
    3. Pre-Install Meeting Assignee: Should be the Okland person responsible for that scope fo work.
    4. Initial Inspection Assignee: Should be Okland person responsible for performing the inspection.
    5. Due Date: Is the planned date for the meeting or inspection. These should all be future dates to correspond with the subcontractor mobilization date to the site.
