Rearrange the Project Tools Menu

Objective

To rearrange the options in the Project Tools menu. 

Background

If you are a user with 'Admin' level permission to the project's Admin tool, you can customize which tools are listed in the Project Tools menu for your end users. You can also rearrange them, to set tools in the desired order. IMPORTANT! This affects how tools appear in the Procore web application for all project users. 

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
  • Limitations:
    • Procore only permits you to rearrange the Project Tools menu. It does not support rearranging the Company Tools menu. 
    • IMPORTANT! This affects how tools appear in the Procore web application for all project users. 

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Admin tool.
    This reveals the project's Admin page.
  2. Under Project Settings, click Active Tools
  3. Grab the desired tool by the hamburger (≡) button. 
  4. Use a drag-and-drop operation to move it into the desired position.

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Update
    The menu options now appear in the specified order in the Project Tools menu.
