Background

Pinning items on an iOS device creates a visual link between project items and document locations within the Viewer. This ensures that anyone viewing the drawing on a mobile device can see related issues and associated markups with full spatial context, matching the web experience.

Things to Consider

  • Permissions: Must have the ability to add markups to Document Management workflows to utilize grouping features for more organized and efficient reviews.

  • Syncing: Items pinned on iOS device are instantly visible to others on the Android app and Procore Web.

  • Limitations: Observations pinned on iOS device do not currently support the Details Panel view within the document viewer.

Steps

To pin items to a document on an iOS device, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Procore app on your iOS device.

  2. Tap the Document Management tool and tap a document to open it.

  3. Tap the Connected Items Icon Location Pinon the side rail to open the panel.

  4. Link an Existing Item:

    1. Tap a category, such as Coordination Issues or Observations.

    2. Locate the item to link and tap + Pin.

    3. Tap the location on the document where the pin should be placed.

    4. (Optional) Add a markup while the item is active to link the drawing to that specific pin.

  5. Create and Pin a New Item:

    1. Within the Connected Items Icon Location Pin panel, tap the plus + icon.

    2. Tap the document to set the pin location.

    3. Complete the required fields in the creation form and tap Save.
