Send a Completed Company or User Import Template to Procore
Objective
To upload an updated company or user import template to the Company or Project level Directory tool.
Background
If you have set up a default email client for your computer's web browser, you can use the steps below to upload a copy of your completed import. The steps below send your project information and the completed import template that you upload to imports@procore.com. A member of the Procore Import Team will then review your file to ensure that your data has been entered properly. After your file is validated, the import process will be performed for your company or project by the Procore Import Team.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- To upload a company or user import template for the Company Directory:
- 'Admin' level permission to the Company Directory.
- To upload a company or user import template to a Project Directory in your company's Procore account:
- 'Admin' level permission on the Project Directory.
OR - 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions on the Project level Directory with the 'Request Company and User Imports' granular permission enabled on your project permissions template.
- 'Admin' level permission on the Project Directory.
- To upload a company or user import template for the Company Directory:
- Requirements:
- The steps below require you to configure a default email application for your computer's web browser.
- If you do NOT have a default email, you can alternatively email your completed import template to imports@procore.com.
Important! Be sure to include your company and project name in the email's subject line.

- IMPORTANT! In order to protect the integrity of your company’s data, Procore Employees are restricted from modifying the data that clients submit in all Procore Import Templates. This restriction applies to all data modifications, including correcting typographical errors. If Procore determines that errors are present in any Procore Import Template that you submit to Procore, it will be returned to you for correction. Please note that the import process may take up to 72 hours to process.
- Alternatively, if you have the import templates already filled out, you can expedite the import process by performing your own import using the Procore Imports app. Note, you need access to a computer running Windows 7 or higher. See Import Users & Vendors into your Project Level Directory Tool (Procore Imports) for more information.
Steps
- Navigate to the Company or Project level Directory tool.
- In the right pane, choose one of the following options:
- Under Import Users, click Send Completed Template.
This launches the email client application that is set up on your computer.
OR - Under Import Companies, click Send Completed Template.

OR - If you have NOT configured a default email application for your computer's web browser, please email the completed template to imports@procore.com. Important! Be sure to include your company and project name in the email's subject line.
- Under Import Users, click Send Completed Template.
- Send the email message.
This sends the email message to imports@procore.com. A member of the Procore Import Team will then review your file to ensure that your data has been entered properly. After your file is validated, the import process will be performed for your company or project by the Procore Import Team.
