Enable or Disable Task Codes
Objective
To enable or disable task codes to be used for time entry in Timesheets and My Time.
Background
Task codes consolidate the sub job and cost code into a single field. You can select which types of codes your team can attribute time to in Timesheets and My Time, making it easy for them to accurately track their time. Data entered for budgeted task codes is automatically attributed to the appropriate code in your budget.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Admin tool.
- Additional Information:
- Existing settings for cost codes and sub jobs are taken into consideration when you enable task codes. See How are task codes configured for time entry?
Note: Ensure cost codes and sub jobs are enabled on the fieldset for effective task codes. - For task codes to show in Timesheets and My Time, they must also be enabled on the tool's fieldsets. Steps
- Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.
- Under 'Tool Settings', select Timesheets or My Time.
- Click the Task Codes tab.
- Take one of the following actions:
- Move the toggle to the ON position to enable task codes.
- Move the toggle to the OFF position to disable task codes.
