What does it mean to be a 'Collaborator' in Portfolio Financials?

 Note
This information is intended for accounts with the Portfolio Financials product in Procore.

Answer

Being a 'collaborator' within the Portfolio Financials product in Procore means that you likely hold one of the following titles (or similar):

  • Design Coordinator
  • Architect
  • Engineer
  • Consultant
  • Construction Manager

If you have been invited to a Procore project as a collaborator, this means that you have been asked to work on a project by a client who owns an account in Procore. Depending on the level of permissions that you have been granted by your client, you may be assisting in a small way, or managing the project.

For example, if you have been asked to manage bids for the project, see Best Practices for Bid Room Collaborators in Portfolio Financials.

If you are not seeing a feature in Procore that you need to access, you may need to speak with your client to be granted additional permissions. If you have any technical questions, please contact Procore Customer Support.
