Search and Filter for Project Tasks

To use the search and filter functions to locate a project's task.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: 'Read Only' and above on the project level Tasks tool.


  1. Navigate to the project level Tasks tool.

Search for Tasks

  1. Click into the Search bar and enter a keyword or phrase matching the desired task.
    Note: Procore will automatically display search results matching your query.

  2. To view a task in more detail, click View.

Filter Tasks

  1. Click Add Filters.


  2. Select from the following filter options:
    • Assignee: Click 'Assignee' to filter tasks assigned to one or more specific users.
    • Status:  Click 'Status' to filter tasks by one of the following options:
      • Initiated
      • In Progress
      • Ready for Review
      • Closed
      • Void
    • Created By: Click 'Created By' to filter tasks authored by a specific user.
    • Category: Click 'Category' to filter tasks by a predefined category.
    • Due Date: Click 'Due Date' to filter tasks by a specific due date.
  3. Optional: To remove applied filters, select from one of the following options:
    • To remove one filter: Hover over the applied filter and click the gray 'X'. 

    • To remove all filters: Click Clear All Filters.
