The Procore Document Management (PDM) Research Program is a voluntary program run by Procore’s product team to collect feedback from construction professionals through structured research sessions. Feedback is used to ensure Procore's new document management tools and services meet the needs of customers and is designed and built with a high degree of usability.
Research is exclusively focused on understanding and solving for the need to view, manage, review, and collaborate on all types of construction documents (drawings, specifications, models, etc.) throughout the end-to-end project lifecycle.
How does it work?
Participants receive invitations for research studies best suited for their roles and experience.
Research sessions include:
- Surveys
- 30-60 minute interviews
- Design reviews
- Product usability tests
What is the research focused on?
Topics for the PDM Research Program in 2023 include:
- Document communication and distribution across companies.
- Setup and management of document approval workflows.
- Upload and management of document revisions, packages, and renditions Role of documents during field collaboration.
- Role of documents in formal construction processes like RFIs, observations, inspections, and more.
- Markup, review, and comparison of construction documents.
How can I participate in the research program?
If you’re involved in the course of construction, apply by completing this 5-min questionnaire, or share this questionnaire with someone else in your company who might be interested.
You’ll receive an email if your experience and role is the right fit for our program.
What can I expect if I participate in the program?
A Product Manager or UX Designer from Procore will email participants details about upcoming research studies, up to 3 per month, beginning in June 2023. You can choose to opt into any study. Most sessions will either be a survey or live session conducted remotely through a Zoom Meeting.
