Distribute a Snapshot of a Custom Project Report

Objective

To distribute a snapshot of a custom project report.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • To distribute a snapshot of a report you created, 'Standard' level permissions or higher on the Project level Reports tool.
  • Additional Information:
    • You can only see and distribute reports that you have created.

Steps

Distribute a Custom Project Report

  1. Navigate to the Project level Reports tool.
  2. Click the name of the custom report you want to distribute.
  3. Click Distribute Snapshot in the right pane.

  4. In the Recipients field, search for and select the users that you would like to email the custom report to. 
  5. In the Send As drop-down menu, select PDF or Excel.

  6. Click Distribute.

Distribute a Custom Project Report - Enhanced Reporting

To distribute a custom report created using Enhanced Reporting, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Project level Reports tool.
  2. Locate the report created with Enhanced Reporting.
  3. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) and select Distribute.
  4. In the Recipients field, search for and select the users or distribution groups that you would like to email the custom report to.
  5. In the Send As drop-down menu, select PDF or Excel.
  6. Click Distribute.

Schedule a Distribution

  1. Navigate to the Project level Reports tool.
  2. Click the name of the custom report you want to schedule a distribution for.
  3. Click Distribute Snapshot.

  4. Click the carat next to Schedule Distribution List.
  5. From the drop-down menu, select the users to whom you would like to email the custom report. 
  6. In the Send As drop-down menu, select PDF or Excel.
  7. Select one of the following options from the Frequency drop-down menu:
    • Daily
    • Daily (Weekdays Only)
    • Weekly
    • Monthly

  8. Select the options in the Settings section to schedule when the report will be distributed based on your Frequency selection.
  9. Click Create.

Schedule a Distribution - Enhanced Reporting

To schedule a distribution for a custom report created using Enhanced Reporting, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Project level Reports tool.
  2. Locate the report created with Enhanced Reporting.
  3. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) and select Distribute.
  4. In the Recipients field, search for and select the users or distribution groups that you would like to email the custom report to.
  5. In the Send As drop-down menu, select PDF or Excel.
  6. Select one of the following options from the Frequency drop-down menu:
    • Daily
    • Daily (Weekdays Only)
    • Weekly
    • Monthly
  7. Select the options in the Settings section to schedule when the report will be distributed based on your Frequency selection.
  8. Click Create.
