Edit Information for a Model

Objective

To edit information for a model in a project's Models tool.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'Admin' permissions on the project's Models tool.
  • Additional Information:
    • The name of the model cannot be edited in Procore. If the model needs a different name, you will need to be publish it as a new model. See Publish a Model to Procore.
    • Other edits to the model, such as resectioning of appended files, will require a new version of the model to be published. See Publish a New Version of a Model.
    • In order for updates made to a snapshot to appear in Procore, the angle or location of the snapshot must also be updated.

Steps

From the Procore Plugin

  1. Open the source file in the Navisworks® application on your computer.
  2. Click the Procore tab.
  3. Click Publish to open the Models window.
  4. In the Models window, hover over the model that you want to edit and click Edit Info.
  5. Edit the information as necessary.
    The following items can be updated:
    Note:  In order for updates made to a snapshot to appear in Procore, the angle or location of the snapshot must also be updated.
    • Status
    • Home View
    • Views
    • 2D Sheets
  6. Click Update to save the changes.
