Consolidate Materials to One Location

Background

When the same material is stored in multiple locations, you can easily consolidate them to a single location. Consolidating the materials in this way, creates a finalized transfer so that you can track the movement of your inventory.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions

  • Materials in all conditions are moved to the new location.

  • Consolidating inventory creates a finalized transfer document to track the movement of your inventory.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Materials tool.

  2. Click the Inventory tab and click the item name.
    Note: You can also click the material item name from anywhere in the materials tool, such as a list view or any of the document line items.

  3. Click View Full Details.

  4. In the 'Locations' section, click Consolidate to One Location.

  5. Select the location where all the materials are stored.

  6. Click Confirm and Create Transfer.
