Search for and Filter Drawings

To use the Search bar and filter settings to find a specific drawing in the project's Drawings log.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'Read-only' and above permissions on the Drawings tool. 
  • Additional Information:
    • If you want to search for text that appears within drawings, see Search Text Within Drawings.
    • The search tool respects any selected filter parameters (including "set" and "disciplines") and will only search for items within the filtered results.
    • The view (e.g. list or thumbnails) on the drawing log will stick when navigating to other Procore tools and then returning to the log.


Search for Drawings

  1. Navigate to the project's Drawings tool.
  2. Enter a term in the search bar.
    Note: If you want to search through only drawing numbers or titles, enter one of the following search modifiers into the search bar:
    • Enter "number:" before your search term to search drawing numbers.

    • Enter "title:" before your search term to search drawing titles.

  3. Click Search.
  4. To clear the search, click the 'x' in the search bar.

Filter Drawings by Discipline

  1. Click the All Disciplines drop-down menu.
  2. Select the discipline you want to view drawings for.

View Drawings by Set

  1. Click Drawing Sets.
  2. Click on the drawing set you want to view drawings for.
    Note: You will now be viewing drawing revisions for the set, which may not be current.
  3. Optional:
    To navigate back to another set of drawings: Click the Drawing Sets link, then click the set you want to view.
    To navigate back to the current drawings: Click the Drawing Sets link, then click Current Drawings.
