Get a Custom 360 Report from Assist
Objective
Get Assist to create a custom 360 report from your Procore data.
Background
Assist is Procore's AI assistant. When you ask Assist a quantitative question about your data in Procore, you receive an answer to your question along with a report. For example, if you want to know how many budgeted items are already installed, Assist answers with the unit amount and a report of the source data so you can review, edit, and save for future use. This tutorial guides you through the process of using Assist to get this type of answer and report.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Standard' level permissions or higher in Procore's 360 Reporting tool.
- 'Admin' access (or in some cases 'Read-only' or 'Standard') in the tool you are accessing data from. See 360 Reporting permissions.
- You can only see results about items you have permission to view in the 360 Reporting tool. For example, if you do not have the necessary user permissions to view an RFI, you won't receive information about that RFI from Assist.
- Additional Information:
- Assist is available to companies in North America, and as a beta internationally. See Enable Assist to activate Assist or its beta features.
- Assist provides 'single-turn' question and answer functionality at this time. This means it will not take a previous question into consideration when asking a follow up question. Each question is treated as a unique encounter.
Steps
- Navigate to your project in Procore.
- Type a quantitative question into Procore's search bar, then press ENTER on your keyboard.
For example, you can ask "Which Action Plans have unfulfilled inspections?" if you have Admin access in the Procore Action Items and Inspections tools. - Review the answer once it finishes generating.
- Click on the Report link in the 'Source' section of Assist's answer.
- Review the report to verify the answer you received from Assist and discover additional insights as needed.
Note: Assist filters and groups results according to your question. For example, for the question asked in step two, Assist's report includes only action plans with 'Inspection' as the value for the 'Record Type Requested' field and no inspection record attached. - Optional steps:
- Edit the report.
- Save the report for future reference.
- Select the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icon to provide feedback about the answer you received. Your feedback is reviewed by our development team and taken into account when improving Assist.
