Add Assignees to Published Plans
Objective
When creating an Action Plan, you can add assignees to certain tasks. If the plan has already been published, you can still add assignees by following these steps.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Action Plans tool.
OR - 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions with the 'Create or Edit Action Plan' granular permission.
- 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Action Plans tool.
- Additional Information
- Assignees added when an action plan is being created or edited are considered required and can only be removed while creating or editing an action plan. See Edit an Action Plan.
- 'Blocking Functionality' can only be configured when an action plan is being created or edited. See Edit an Action Plan.
- Additional assignees added while an action plan is being performed are considered optional and can be removed while performing or editing an action plan.
- The assignee must be an active user or contact in the Project level Directory tool.
Prerequisites
Steps
- Navigate to the project's Action Plans tool.
- Click View next to the action plan with the item you want to assign.
Note: If the 'View' button is not clickable, the action plan is in 'Edit' mode and can only be accessed by users with 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Action Plans tool. - Locate the item you want to assign.
- Under the 'Assignees' column, click +Add Assignees.
- From the 'Assignee' drop down menu, select the responsible party (an entity or a specific person).
- If the person is not listed in the drop-down menu, click Create Person to add a new contact as the assignee. See What is a 'contact' in Procore and which project tools support the concept?
- Optional: From the 'Verification Method' drop-down menu, select the method the responsible party should use to verify the item's completion. See Create Action Plan Verification Methods.
- If the verification method is not listed in the drop-down menu, click +Create New Verification Method.
Note: You must have 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Admin tool to perform this action. - Enter a name for the verification method.
- Click Create.
- Click Save.
- If the verification method is not listed in the drop-down menu, click +Create New Verification Method.
- Click +Add Assignee to add additional responsible parties.
- Click Save.
