Delete or Inactivate People in Resource Planning
Objective
To delete or inactivate a person for Resource Planning.
Background
For projects using Resource Planning, you can inactivate or delete people using the People List in Resource Planning.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions
- Deleting a person permanently removes all their history and data from Resource Planning.
- Users marked as 'Inactive' can not be assigned to resource assignments, but remain in Resource Planning for record keeping purposes.
- If data syncs are enabled:
- People marked as inactive or deleted in Resource Planning are made 'Inactive' in Procore's Company Directory.

Steps
Inactivate a Person in Resource Planning
- Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.
- Click People and select People List
- Locate the user record to modify. Then click their name.
- Locate the 'Info' section and click Edit.
- Under 'Status', select Inactive.
- Click Save.
Note: The person is marked as 'Inactive' in both Resource Planning and Procore's Company Directory.
Delete a Person in Resource Planning
- Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.
- Click People and select People List
- Locate the user record to modify. Then click their name.
- Locate the 'Delete Person' section and click Delete.
- Enter the word 'Yes' to confirm deletion.
- Click Delete.
Note: The person is deleted from Resource Planning and marked as 'Inactive' in Procore's Company Directory.
