Assign a Custom Report to All Projects

To assign a company-level custom report to all of the company's projects.

Assigning custom reports to all projects allows company administrators to standardize reports across the company and create a consistency in reporting. Assigning custom reports to all projects differs from cloning a report, because you are adding this report to all projects in the company rather than simply copying the report to the same company or project's Reports tab. To learn how to clone a report, see Clone a Company Level Custom Report. Assigning custom reports to all projects also differs from publishing a report, because publishing a report only allows other users access to the report and the report does not propagate in all projects. To learn how to publish a report, see Publish a Custom Report.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
    • 'Admin' level on the company's Reports tool.
      • Only users with 'Admin' level permissions on the Reports tool can edit or delete the report. Any changes made will be reflected across all reports on all projects.
      • Users who do NOT have 'Admin' level permissions on the Reports tool are NOT permitted to edit the report assigned to each project. However, they can clone and edit them.

  1. Navigate to the company's Reports tool.
This reveals the Company Reports page.
  2. In the My Reports Area area, locate the report that you want to assign to all of your company's Procore projects.
Note: If a suitable report does NOT exist, you may create one. See Create a Custom Company Report.
  3. Click Edit.
This places the selected report in edit mode.
  4. Make any changes to the report as desired. See Edit a Company Level Custom Report.
  5. Click Assign to Projects in the right pane.

The Assign to Projects message appears.

  6. Click Assign to confirm the action.
That report will be added to all your projects and will appear at the top of the Company Reports page with the text "Template" after the title of the report (e.g. if your report is titled Financials Report, the report will show up under the "[Company Name] Reports" as "Financials Report Template").
