Edit Multiple Choice Inspection Responses


To edit response in a multiple choice inspection response set.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: 'Admin' level permissions on the company's Inspections tool.
  • You may edit a set that is currently in use, however, any changes you make will be applied to all inspection templates containing the response set.


  1. Navigate to the Company level Inspections tool.
    This reveals a list of company level inspections templates.
  2. Click Configure Settings ().
  3. Click Multiple Response Sets.


Mark an Inspection Response Set as Inactive

By default, a multiple choice inspection response set will be marked as 'Active' and can be added to a company level inspection template.

Important! Response sets that are currently in use cannot be marked as 'Inactive.'

  1. Click the checkbox to remove the mark in the 'Active' column next to the response set you want to deactivate (see image below).
    Note: This action prevents other users from adding the response set to company level inspection templates.
    Note: You can reactivate the response set at anytime by marking the checkbox in the 'Active' column.

Add Additional Choices to a Response Set

  1. Click Edit next to the desired response set.
  2. Click +Add Response to add new responses, or click into an existing field to edit the appropriate information. 
  3. Click Update to save your changes.

Change the Color Associated with a Response

  1. Click Edit next to the desired response set.
  2. Next to the desired response, select the color you want to associate with it from the following options:
    • Green: Associated with a 'Conforming' response.
    • Red: Associated with a 'Deficient' response.
    • Gray: Associated with a 'Not Applicable' response.
  3. Click Update to save your changes.

Delete Choices from a Response Set

  1. Click Edit next to the desired response set.
  2. Click the 'x' next to the response you want to remove.
  3. Click Update to save your changes.
