Configure Equipment Telematics Connection for Caterpillar

Objective

To configure your Caterpillar equipment connection to view telematics information in the Equipment tool.

Background

In the company's Equipment tool settings, you can connect your Caterpillar account so that equipment telematics data can be viewed in the Equipment tool in Procore. See View Equipment Details in the Company Equipment Tool.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions
  • Telematics information updates if the equipment record in your Procore and Caterpillar accounts have the same serial number.
  • Procore currently supports telematics connections with the following brands:
    • Caterpillar
    • John Deere
    • Samsara

Steps

  1. Navigate to the company's Equipment tool.
  2. Click the configure settings icon-settings-gear-grey3.png icon.
  3. Click the Telematics Connections.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Enter your Caterpillar Client ID.
  6. Enter your Caterpillar Client Secret.
     Tip
    Support to locate your Caterpillar Client ID and Secret can be found on the Caterpillar website.
  7. Click Connect.
