Objective

To configure settings for your company's Cost Catalog tool.

Background

The Cost Catalog tool in Procore provides default properties for tracking material and service costs, but users can also create their own custom material properties. This feature allows companies to track information specific to their needs, making the cost data richer and more detailed. Crucially, these custom properties automatically become available as powerful filter options for Dynamic Grouping within the Estimate tool, streamlining analysis and reporting. Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'Admin' level permissions to the company's Cost Catalog tool.
  • Additional Information:
    • Custom Material Properties can not be bulk imported into Procore.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the company's Cost Catalog tool on app.procore.com.
  2. Click the Configure Settings icons-settings-gear.png icon.
  3. Under 'Material Settings', you can customize material properties:
    • Use the toggle switches to turn individual material properties ON or OFF. 
    • Use the text fields to edit the names of individual material properties.
  4. Click Save.
