Send Documents or Drawings on a Bid Board Project

Background

You can send drawings or documents uploaded to the Documents tab in the Estimating tool for a project that was originally created in the Bid Board or Portfolio Planning tool.

Things to Consider

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Bid Board or Portfolio Planning tool and select the project.
    OR
  2. Navigate to the project's Estimating tool.
  3. Click the Documents tab.
  4. Follow these steps to:

Send drawings

  1. To send an individual drawing, click the relevant drawing folder.
    Note: To send an entire drawing folder, click the ellipsis icon icon-ellipsis-vertical.png next to the folder.
  2. Click the ellipsis icon icon-ellipsis-vertical.png next to the drawing.
  3. Select Send to Drawings tool.
    • A banner should appear that says Preparing export to Drawings tool. This may take several minutes.
    • When successful, a green banner should appear that says Export to Drawings tool finished.

OR

  1. Select Send to Documents tool.
    • A banner should appear that says Preparing export to Documents tool. This may take several minutes.
    • When successful, a green banner should appear that says Export to Documents tool was successfully finished.

Send documents

  1. To send an individual document, click the relevant document folder.
    Note: To send an entire document folder, click the ellipsis icon icon-ellipsis-vertical.png next to the folder.
  2. Click the ellipsis icon icon-ellipsis-vertical.png next to the drawing.
  3. Select Send to Documents tool.
    • A banner should appear that says Preparing export to Documents tool. This may take several minutes.
    • When successful, a green banner should appear that says Export to Documents tool was successfully finished.
